Corner Bistro
The staff is very nice. However, don't be fooled by reviews that claim this is home made, well made, food, and don't expect a nice sit down restaurant. This is a run of the mill counter service place with cheap and tacky furnishings and truly sub - par food. I ordered the 'french dip" everyone is raving about. leathery slices of roast beef from a deli pack served with a flavorless bowl of - maybe it's canned beef soup with the vegetables drained out? does not qualify as a french dip sandwich in my book - certainly not a home made one. The other members of my party had less risky items ( yes, here, french dip is risky) and they were all the sort of santdwhich you'd make at home. From the reviews, you'd think this is similar to Canvas near Marietta Square or some other restaurant where care is given to the food. It's world's from that. The ONLY hting going for this place is that the staff is friendly and feels bad if you give an honest answer to their question "how was your meal". and hustles aroud trying to make up for it. That's kind of them, but it's the WRONG time to care about the food you're sending out of the kitchen. My advice, get someone with understated good taste to redo your dining room ( even a trip to Ikea would improve it) and buy some cookbooks, and stop trying to pass off prefabbed food as home made.

1029 Gastro Pub
My favorite place to eat as of today!!! Loved the atmosphere! Seth Rocks! Had the Firecracker Shrimp appy it was fantastic!. Chef Rob cooked the shrimp perfectly. Everyone was friendly and seems like a great place for a Saturday afternoon to have a bite. I love that he has purse hooks under bar, it is clean and smells fresh inside (no smoking) and also the music was great that was being played over the speaker system not too loud or too soft and it was good stuff! I hope that I can have this experience every Saturday.I plan on returning for an evening of live music tonight will write another review after I stop in again. But I have to say it is my new favorite Woodstock or even Georgia location. The prices are moderate, but have specials so check it out I highly recommend this place!

Jerseys Sports Bar & Grille
OK, this place is fun!My wife and I finally had to try this place out and we were both pleasantly surprised and glad we did. The menu has a lot to choose from with very good prices and very good food. My wife had the French Dip, I went with a wings of courseā€¦ and what a surprise for a sports bar. French Dip was great and the wings were some of the best I have tasted. The servers all appeared to be very busy and having a good time. The bar tender, tall guy, seemed to be entertaining the bar flys and again, appeared to be having a good time. There was Bing going on, not for me but again, everyone having a good time. We were very impressed and will be back.

Habaneros Taqueria
A favorite spot for lunch or dinner whenever I am passing through downtown Woodstock. They have the best fish tacos around. Everything that I have tried is fresh and well presented. The engaging owner is always on site, and his staff is kind and attentive. A better way to describe the food is more of a Colombian twist on Mexican. Nothing like the typical sauce & cheese Americanized Mexican that is so prevalent in the area. Worth a try when you are nearby.

My Mechanic Joe
I had been using big chain mechanics for a long, long time. I never felt like they were always truthful, nor did they have my best interest in mind. What a nice change of pace it was when we found these guys.John was very accommodating to my schedule. He did not push unnecessary services and he walked me through the whole process. The price was more than reasonable too. It was great to finally find a sincere and honest mechanic!

Izzy's Kouzina
Authentic Greek restaurant run by a real Greek family! We've already been several times since they opened and have tried many things on the menu. Greek salad, souvlaki, fried ravioli, fried mozzarella are all delicious! On our last visit, we had the lasagna and the chicken parmesan. We've heard their pizzas are awesome too so we plan to try those next! You must order the cheesecake for dessert! Slices are huge & delicious!

R and M Automotive
My local Lexus dealership quoted me $1800 for 100K preventative maintenance...thought I was gonna have to get a second job. Anyway, a friend of a friend referred me to R & M Automotive. Not only did I get a way better price but was able to get my brakes and rotors replaced too. Owners Don and Lee were extremely professional and got my IS300 running better than ever. Will never go back to Lexus...

Dave's Complete Car Care
Great group of guys and it's the first time I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off! I actually pulled in on my way to another mechanic because they were closer. They helped with my issues and they were almost $200 less than the quotes I got around town. They also found some wiring issues that a previous mechanic did and fixed it for me. I'll definitely be taking my car care needs to Dave's shop!

Old Navy
By far the best Old Navy store in the area! Just been remodeled so it looks really nice but more importantly, the employees are really knowledgable and friendly. Not your typical retail group of employees, you can tell they really like working there. Great selection I. All departments. Worth a trip if you live in Kennesaw...go to this one...ten times better than the one on Barrett Parkway!

Izzy's Kouzina
Izzy's Kouzina is a very nice and refreshing addition to the area. Me and my family love this restaurant. The food tastes very fresh and the serving sizes are large. I personally love the salads, the spanakopita ( so good and fresh), the toasted ravioli, and the cheese fries. The ice cream is delicious! I can't wait to visit them again to try more Greek and Italian food!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
