I will never use this company again!!! My husband paid to have aeration completed on our yard as well as bushes pull up and pine needless put down. Well they came out instead of pulling up the bushes they use the weed eater it looks like to cut them. I have lights along my driveway which they removed to do the bushes and didn’t put them back As well there were remnants of the bushes all around and we did not get any pine needles. I called the company and spoke with the owner in which he was not concerned that he over charged for what he done. The mess he left look as if my children had done the bushes. I told him I was not happy about the way he left my yard. We live in an upscale neighborhood and he left if like we lived in a pig sty. He also tried to tell me he didn’t know about pine needles until all the sudden he remembered. He brought the pine needles out the next day put them out. He did put the lights up again though on one side he put them close together right beside each other and the other side of the driveway they were spread out it looks horrible. So now I will fix the lights and I will never call this company again. I’m so mad!!!!

Salem Landscaping Inc
My wife and I wanted to have raised flowerbeds surrounding an existing patio. Dan Ebert and his associate built several beds which were engineered to allow water to exit the surface, built the beds all around the patio and the effect is magnificent! We have and continue to get rave reviews from our guests. I would not hesitate a second to recommend Salem Landscaping to any one wishing to create additional structure to their home. They also brought in quality topsoil, which is imperative if you want to have nice, healthy plants.

Yards By Us
Signed up for regular biweekly service and constantly had to remind them to come out. Caught them billing us wrong once and gave them the benefit of the doubt. But then, we went on vacation and came back to a yard that hadn't been mowed in a month! When I called to complain, I was argued with and told that all of their trucks have gps tracking so they check in everywhere they have been and that they mowed just last week. If this is truly the case then this company has a problem with dishonest employees. I had to text in photos of the grass, 15 inches, up to my knees, to get them to come out. To top it all off when I received the call in reply to the photos there was no apology what so ever!!! and a revised bill was sent with the crew charging me for that day, nope no credit for the time missed, no apology given. Kelly is a horrible manager. Undoubtedly a family member with no business experience. They have lost my business forever!Called today to cancel service, still no apology.

Gandy's Landscaping & Design
Gandy's Landscaping has been great for us and stood by their word! They came by our neighborhood just at a time when we were remodeling our backyard. They seemed like nice guys so I told them what we needed and they wrote out a quote which was much less than anyone else considering the size of trees/shrubs we wanted and that installation was included. I told them I'd call them - so in the next few days I checked them out on the internet. They had some bad reviews, but they were all from a few years ago, so I decided to give them a chance. Everything went well, but we did have several trees that didn't make it (we planted in the middle of summer in 100 degree weather). But true to their word, they came back in September when it had cooled down and replaced the trees free of charge. We've since used them again for additional plants. Great guys!

California Landscaping & Lawn Care
Rafael has really turned my yard around. He is honest and a very hard worker. I'm very happy with the choice I've made in selecting California Landscaping for my lawn and garden needs. My mother has hired him as well!
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
