Parkway Wrecker Service
I give them 5 stars. They deserve "10". We had a blow out on Hwy 52, headed for the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Senior citizens. They sent 2 young men, who had us up & going in no time. When we ask how much, it was no charge. They were angels in my eyes. I am so thankful that there is a towing/wrecker service that has a heart. We were blessed today & they will be blessed in their future. Thank you young fellows! I will refer your business to my family & friends. Bonnie R Lail ✴

Wake Mart
Wakemart has good food, however the service is awful, no since of urgency. I waited more than 30 minutes for one hotdogs and fries. Cooks seem to have led in their butts. Need cooks who care about great service.

S & L Painting & Decorating Inc
Not a customer. But a lady I know. An 80 year old lady asked for an estimate to paint ONE vanity cabinet. They came out and said it would be $900. Wtf! That's ridiculous and I have no idea who would pay that much for one cabinet to be painted. Maybe a room for that much if that included paint and labor. But one cabinet for $900 is crazy. I say this company is a ripoff and scam artists.

Stratford Exxon
@Jerry A, they are NOT greedy - this service station (a true service station, not just gas/convenience store) is fantastic. They are honest and will let you know if you can get a better deal on a repair job elsewhere. Unless I have to go directly to my dealer, I use Stratford Road Exxon for everything, and I try to always buy my gas from them too in appreciation for their honest mechanics!

Parkway Wrecker Service
They were very nice and helpful. The price for the towing seemed pretty high, but I expected that. The car was totaled, but had a lot of salvageable parts. They said it would only get about $125 from the junk yard. It was not worth the trouble to find out. The battery in that Toyota Prius may have been worth something... among other things. It was not worth the trouble to deal with all that. My car was towed by them on April 5, 2015 from a serious accident. I went to their location a few days later to retrieve items from my car. My new Tom Tom GPS system, 3 way cigarette lighter adapter, and large, unopened roll of duct tape had been stolen from the car. Unless the police stole those items, it happened while in their possession. The police had taken me downtown in handcuffs because of a citation from Pitt County in 2004....huh?! I was out of there in 20 minutes, but missed the opportunity to get my possessions before the car was towed.

Stratford Exxon
This business is damn greedy. Disconnected it's hose for free air & now charges $4.00 per vehicle just to check your air.

Very horrible place. The African guy charged my debit, and said that the card declined. There is clearly a charge from this awful place and I did not get a product, or service. I suggest people to stay away from this business.

Parkway Shell
The Manager Danny is Rude! I had to file a police report. Don't use your Credit Card at this location. You may be charged twice. I will never go to a Shell Gas Station again. Matter of fact, I wish I knew the owner. Danny recommended that I take my business elsewhere, rather than apologizing for bad service.
Tips & Advices
Driver can find the cheapest gas prices by using an app to search for the lowest prices in their area.  Some apps such as Gas Guru take note of your location, and provide a list of gas stations nearby, along with the cost of gas currently being sold at each station.
There are things you can do to slightly improve the fuel efficiency of your vehicle. Make sure your car's tires are properly inflated, and treat your engine to regular tune-ups. Check your engine's air filter, since a dirty air filter will compromise fuel economy.
Drivers must shut their engine off before pumping gas because it's illegal to fuel with the engine running, even though this law isn't always aggressively enforced. Pumping gas with the engine running can compromise your safety. When your car's engine is running, it's possible for its catalytic converters to generate heat that could ignite gasoline, and start a fire.
Even though many gas stations have warnings advising you not to use your cell phone while fueling, the chances of cell phones igniting a gasoline vapor fire are extremely remote. However, fires at the gas pump may be caused by static electricity discharge. For safe fueling, it's recommended that you turn off your car's engine and avoid smoking at the pump. Also, you should never re-enter your vehicle while refueling.
Many factors contribute to the lack of uniformity in gas prices. Retailers consider their tax responsibilities when setting gas prices. States place varying taxes on gasoline retailers, and a state with higher taxes will have higher gas prices than a state in which the taxes are lower. Also, if a gas station is located in an especially competitive area, a branded operator may receive wholesale discounts that allow the station to sell gas at a lower price. This is done by brands to keep their gas competitive in tight markets.
