My experience with this shop was WONDERFUL! They were extremely courteous and professional. Ty gave a me a thorough and complete explanation at the time of the estimate. He worked with me to schedule the repairs at a time that was convenient for me to be without my car. When I picked up my car it was sparkling (inside and out - as they had cleaned the interior as well as the exterior)! In fact the repair was so sparkling that I worried that it may be more sparkly then the undamaged side. Ty assured me that they would make it right if I did not think the paint was matched. My husband told me to wait a day or two to make sure I wasn't just seeing extra shine in the clearcoat. I could tell after a day or two that it was a perfect match and could not be more pleased by the work done! Also, I was extremely pleased by Ty's level of good customer satisfaction allowing for me to express my concern and honoring it with his guarantee if need be.....I would positively recommend this shop!!!!

I'm thrilled to have discovered this location, and the service they provide. I have been patronizing them for several years now and will continue to do so. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist me with whatever I need. I have had major maintenance done there now that my vehicle has over 80,000 miles (complete radiator flush, fuel injection lines cleaned, synthetic oils and filters replaced, new tires and rotations, new brakes, etc.). Katy and the maintenance team rock! Also, the facility is very nice, clean, and inviting. Internet service is available while you wait, as well as clean rest rooms, light refreshments, and cable television. The best thing is that there is also a full travel agency there, with staff to help you with insurance questions and travel information. They even renewed my international driver's permit during my visit this week. It's the best place in town for everything I've mentioned. I can't imagine doing business anywhere else.

Love Love Love this place. The staff is so professional and polite, especially the manager (I think his name is Brandon). He was the one in charge of my oil change and inspection. He was very nice throughout the whole process and even recommended other services that they offer that he thought my car could benefit from but he wasnt too "pushy salemany" about which i really loved. I had been to the market st location before but wasnt too impressed by the staff but i was impressed with the staff at the college rd location. I WILL be returning in the future and will recommend the College rd location to all my friends and family. :)

Update: I originally gave this review 1 star this morning as I spent a few hours in their shop, come to find out that the communication was not what it should have been between their shop and (us) the customer. We finally were given more information that there was a problem with the computer. This problem originated with Volkswagen a year ago, so it 's not really Performance Auto's fault that the computer was not working properly to begin with. I also asked them to give me a loaner car and finally after an hour of pleeding, they decided to give me one. My car is now in the hands of Volkswagen for them to fix the problem.

I have been going on and off for almost 6 Months. They have been very on spot with every thing I have had to have done. I appreciate their knowledge and Fast, Friendly Demeanor. I would appreciate it if they offered a discount after you have spent up to a certain amount with them. I know we are all just trying to get paid but your car can rack up some major expenses. A brake every know and again would certainly show how much they appreciated their return customers. They have been Great! Thanks John for working out that last payment. CarcareOne is a great find as well. Thanks for steering me to them.

I was in Wilmington in a continuing ed class from out of town had check engine light flashing and car missing called my mechanic back home and he recommended these guys - What a WOW experience. Dropped car off and was shuttled back to hotel, they called my mechanic also called me back with the problem advised problem and price and said car would be ready that afternoon. They picked me up at 5 that afternoon after my class and I picked up my car. Very courteous and facility was clean. Quite impressed and pleased with the service I received. If you live in the area they are awesome!!!

I brought my 2005 1 ton dually here a few years ago for moderate insurance bodywork. I was concerned, I can be particular. From the first time I went, Robert treated me like we were old friends. His knowledge of auto work, and insurance procedures gave me confidence that my truck would be good as new. The work was done proper and on time, even though there was additional hidden damage. They took care of all my insurance filing, and had the additional hidden damage approved for repair before I new it existed. Thank you for all your hard work. I will bring all my auto needs to CCC

These guys really helped me out with my oil change. I had previously taken my car to a dealership thinking they would be the best. I waited three hours. This time at Prolube, I only waited fifteen minutes, and that was because the technician, james (wonderful) pointed out all the things that were not right and things he was going to take care because not only him, but owner and rest of the guys are very pleasant and really want to just do a good job and make sure their customers are happy. I will never take my car anywhere else!

I want to say that this was hands down the best customer service....I drove my truck in with a flat, the service tech came right out and filled it...didn't even ask if I was a member...he then asked me to go inside and get a ticket for the service, I am a AAA member (for a long time), the young lady at the service desk was so informative, helpful and pleasant. This whole situation went from me being upset and mad to feeling really good that AAA was there. Thanks so much for EXCELLENT customer service. It's rare these days.

Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
