Went in for inspection, was told I needed new power steering pump before it would pass. They charged me a portion of the inspection fee and told me to return after I got a pump and they would finish the inspection and I'd have to pay the remaining balance.Took my vehicle to Wilmington Auto and Tire for the power steering pump- upon inspecting my vehicle they told me that a pump was not needed, they had no idea why pro lube didn't pass me. So basically I wasted 25 dollars at Prolube for an inspection that didnt pass and was told I needed a part that I didnt actually need.

Purchased used 2013 Malibu... looked good at first. Had a few issues ....no second key or spair tire and broken lower deflector on front bumper. Salesman said all would be taken care of. Received second key and spare tire and lower deflector had been repaired. The "repair " didn't last 24 hours . After showing car to friend after work wife noticed deflector was loose. After closer inspection ...it had just been glued. After running numbers it was less expensive to order part and repair myself than to take the time off work......found deflector online new for $50...what would it cost the dealership??? Told car had been detailed and oil changed and it was ready for pick up. That Sunday wife was going to put in child seat ...after closer inspection noticed something under seat....a "happy meal" worth of fries under seat along with several pieces of candy stuck to carpet. I'm second guessing the oil change. After cooling down.. .came home from work and found a "dirt " place under front passenger door. The "dirt" was an undisclosed dent under passenger door. JEFF GORDEN CHEVY. .....STRONG START ...UNABLE TO CROSS THE FINISH LINE,..NOT WORTHY OF CHECKERED FLAG!!!!!

BEWARE! They will RIP YOU OFF. THEY DON"T EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!Only go here if you are KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT AUTOMOBILES REPAIRs and KEEP AN EYE ON what they are doing.There are other places very close by if your NOT, and they are Run by trust worthy people that HELP our local community in both UNSUNG ways and KNOWN sponsorship's. (Namely The place by Home Depot Monkey Junction, BSI Auto Service. I will never forget what they did for that poor sick child 5 years ago).AT VALVOLINE I was amazed by the actions of the manager, CHRIS, who as I was unknowingly to him standing there, tried to get one of his mechanics to PUSH a sale on a customer who didn't need the product. Thankfully when CHRIS told the mechanic to sell the Buick owner an expensive air filter for her Buick that she didn't need, the mechanic said NO. CHRIS said the FILTER WAS DIRTY and the honest mechanic put his head down and said no. Trust worthiness comes from the TOP down and if what I witnessed is characteristic of MANAGEMENT, then I know it goes much further and I WOULD NOT WANT MY MOTHER, WIFE, SON, OR DAUGHTER TO GO TO AN ESTABLISHMENT LIKE THIS!!!!I inquired about this business right after I left and FOUND OUT THIS BUSINESS HAS HAD THEIR NC INSPECTION LICENSE SUSPENDED NUMEROUS TIMES LATELY BY THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. **** THIS IS A RED FLAG TO STAY AWAY!!! ******Luckily I didn't get ripped off by CHRIS and his DEN OF THIEF'S as much as other posters, including Kim E and Jake E, but I only imagine what if that mechanic who CHRIS wanted to sell an UNNEEDED EXPENSIVE FILTER was worried about loosing his/her job and felt pressured to SELL UNNEEDED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.ALSO, CHECK OUT ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND LAW SUITS ON THE BBB WEBSITE.

Most wonderful staff, I stopped in about a month ago with my husbands truck and I was more than pleased with the service I received, the manager Eddie was very polite and honest and more than thorough with details as to what they were going to do for me. They got me in and out of there in perfect timing. I will continue coming to this location. More than pleased!!!

Visited on a Monday afternoon and didn't have to wait. Had an oil and filter change done, and the work was performed quickly and professionally. While inspecting my car the technician, Brett, noticed a dirty air filter and transmission fluid. He suggested I change both but was not pushy or overly-aggressive in that regard like some other places can be. I usually get my inspections done here also and have always been pleased.

Went to Pro Lube 4 for oil change yesterday when I got home found they charged my debit card twice. Called business and left message, no reply. Called their customer service no reply. Went to the business thisMorning and manager said there wasNothing he could do. What aRip off, filed a complaint withMy bank about the unauthorized transaction. This is not how you should do business. Called customer service for Pto Lube three times and stl no reply.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
