I had absolutely the worst experience with this business and its owner Diana. I haven’t had contact with anybody else just her. Before you even consider hiring her please read my review. YOU WILL SIMPLY BE ROBBED. She took 180$ from me and left after 5 hours without doing any work. My house was there in the same condition as it was when I left previous day. I expressed my concerns and she said she will come back and fix everything. I waited for an hour for her the next time we scheduled for her to come out and she finally texted me that she was in a car accident. I felt bad for her (later on when I read Yelp reviews I realized it is her line). I asked her to call me when she feels better. I asked her to return 100$ out of 180$ that I paid her in cash and she said she will and I can’t get in contact with her for a week now. This is a criminalistics business and please to save your money and energy do not hire her!!!

Markatos Services Inc
We had Markatos for the last 8 months. Their first cleaning was perfect. From there it deteriorated. We had a different crew at different times for every cleaning. The work they did was completely inconsistent. I would not recommend them.

SCAM ARTIST ALERT! Agreed to pay her $200 (cash) for 6 hours of house cleaning with the possibility of bi-weekly cleanings going forward. She only cleaned a few rooms during the 6 hours and spent a suspiciously long amount of time cleaning the master bedroom. She said she would be back the following morning to finish the job. That was 3 weeks ago. She hasn't responded to numerous phone calls and emails. Reporting her to Better Business.

Markatos Services Inc
Markatos Services is a family business and when I first hired them, I was impressed by Nichole’s friendly attitude and assuring sales pitch. But over the months, I got very irregular service: some days, I came home to a beautifully cleaned house; other days, I discovered my cat shut out of the room where food and water are, tripped on a pile of wet dirty rags in the snow (yes!), and found towels unfolded and my bed unmade. To both compliments and complaints, I got a friendly response – but things got worse. When I reported a loss of personal valuables following a visit by Markatos, all the family friendliness evaporated. I’ve been told it's a matter for the police and the insurance company, and now Harry Markatos won’t return my calls or emails. So if they have nothing to do with my loss, why have they (as they assured me) re-evaluated and improved their employee background check system? Consider this the lowest rating a customer can give.
Tips & Advices
Many services offer long-term contracts that include regularly scheduled cleanings. These contracts sometimes, but do not always, result in discounted prices. Most cleaning services offer discounts in exchange for customer referrals.
Homeowners should review their cleaning service's damage/breakage policy. Some businesses compensate for damaged items, while others do not.
Not always. Before hiring a cleaning service, homeowners should confirm the company verifies its employees' identities and performs background checks. Those planning to hire a self-employed cleaner rather than go through a business should inquire about background check options available from their state's attorney general.
  • The annual costs. Weekly services quickly add up, and homeowners may need to pay additional taxes if they choose a self-employed cleaner.
  • Language barriers and miscommunications. Some professional cleaners might speak English as a second language .
  • Background checks and employment verification. Homeowners can be held liable if they employ a person not legally permitted to work in the U.S.
Some services charge more for pets while others do not. Regardless, homeowners should keep in mind that any pet-related cleaning, such as emptying a litter box, adds to the amount of time the service charges for.
