I went to the Jefferson Restaurant for the special occasion to propose to my long time girlfriend. The service was fantastic and the owner came out and congratulated us. The food was excellent. This is the first online review I wrote and the Jefferson Restaurant is worth the recognition. Thank You!

I live in Norfolk and went there for lunch after work on day and the steak bought me back. The next time I bought my wife and couldnt get over how good the steak and the sevice was. I will drive an hour to get there even with gas prices the way they are. Getting back home full on steak, a little harder. ....... Price was right!! Will visit often!!!!!

More than the average steakhouse, The Black Angus Grille offers Black Angus Reserve Beef, including slowly roasted prime rib, fresh local seafood, poultry and veal prepared with regional and southwestern flair. Bobby Mageras, the current chef/proprietor arrived in 1993 after an internship at the Bay Colony Club in Naples, FL and graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, the finest culinary academy in the world. The restaurant name at the current location of 1433 Richmond Road was at that time called The Prime Rib House and remained so named until the spring of 2005. Many people have questioned the name change because The Prime Rib House had been recognized as one of the most consistent steak and seafood houses in the region. Bobby Mageras made the decision to change the name because potential customers had the perception that the restaurant was either a buffet operation, All You Can Eat prime rib house or an a la carte steakhouse with no menu variety. The name change to Black Angus Grille is more indicative of the casual upscale atmosphere with a centrally located fireplace and warm color tones that is more like a domestic dining room than that of a restaurant. The name change also reflects the upgraded selection of beef from choice to Black Angus Reserve Beef, a more superior brand of beef and a variety of fresh seafood and poultry menu items that are grilled over open flame or pan seared for ultimate flavor and succulence.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is excellent, the service perfect and the restaurant beautiful. The only set back for some might be the time spent and the price tag, but you get what you pay for. If you want Outback, and it has it's place, this isn't it. Your meal at Opus 9 will be leisurely with your every need attend to as you enjoy every bite!

Call ahead is a joke. Called ahead was told it would be 10 min. Check in and told it will be 20 min. No problem. Wait for 45 minutes while they seat people who came in after we did and did not call ahead. Was told those parties did call ahead even though I clearly heard them say no they did not call ahead when they checked in. was told the computer was generating the order of seating! I have no problem waiting but if you skipped us accidently just be honest and don't make up stories. However our waiter Marlo was excellent. Attentive and friendly! He was the best part of our dinner experience.

My family and I come here often, at least once a month, and we absolutely love it! Their chefs are so entertaining and funny while they cook the food, which is always delicious, (their sushi is also top notch). The staff is polite and attentive and the atmosphere is just fun! Kyoto never disappoints and every visit is great experience. We love going to Kyoto!

Vacation in Williamsburg tonight with my family of five. We thought we would treat ourselves to a nice sit down meal after a long drive. Service at this restaurant was very slow. We actually had to flag down our waiter for our drinks and he claimed that was the bars responsibility. We had been watching the bar knowing that was where our drinks were coming from and lets just say we saw no sense of urgency at the bar. When our meals finally came the portions were very small for the price. I had grilled trout with lemon butter. The butter was on half the trout, tossed on with no care. Delicious, but without a starch on the plate the meal wasn't very filling. My husband and son go the shrimp and scallop meal, and they asked for more bread when the meal was done, as they also felt portion size was inappropriate. I gave the restaurant a three because the food was delicious, but portion size was poor, and service very slow.

My girlfriend and I dined here Tuesday night. I was surprized that a "Steak House" did not offer a filet mignon. I ordered a shrimp cocktail which was ok as well as Chicken Parmagiana which was very bland! My girlfriend ordered the crabcake sandwich that was forgotten by the wait person till I was almost done with my meal. My girlfriend said the tea was good..... I won't be back

The technique of Bar-B-Que is one of the oldest methods of cooking meat. The process involves slow cooking at a very low temperature to obtain a moist, juicy and smoke-flavored meat. We realize that everyone does not like the same style of Bar-B-Que, so we simply flavor our premium-quality meats with our own dry rub that enhances the meat's natural flavor. We offer a variety of sauces to complement the Bar-B-Que. Select the sauce that's perfect for you! Smokin' Joe's Bar-B-Que offers Full Service Catering. Let us cater your next affair! We offer our regular menu items as well as a variety of other appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Nov 16, 2015 Just returned from eating at Smokey Bones in Newport News, Va. I ordered the brisket, with macaroni and corn on the cob on the side. At first, I dug into the brisket for that rich, hard smoked, real western bbq flavor. I almost gagged because I thought I was eating a shoe. The meat was tender, but had the flavor of shoe, in other words...FAKE. It was obvious that the meat had been oven cooked for tendernous, and then glazed with some cheap flavored bbq sauce. I know that there are a lot of people who would think this is bbq, but for the real pit masters (like myself), who know precisely how it should look, smell, taste, it was a sure let down. I have been on the east coast now for almost 4 years, and I have bbq and smoked some of the finest meats (bbq, pork or chicken), and I have never tasted something so bland and shoe like ever. If I had ever bought a bbq grill, and any of my meats came out tasting like this, I would throw away the meat, and eat the bbq grill instead. And then on top of the tasteless meats, they actually call themselves smokey bones, giving someone the impression that it is a place that actually bbqs their meats. I personally am embarrassed and feel ashamed of this place. I would offer a $25,000 bet to this resturaunt owner or "cook" that they could provide something better than what I can on my own $200 dollar walmart bbq grill. I know of course that this will never get read by the sloppy city owner(s) who run this and other resturaunts like it, but please...you make other patrons never to want to try bbq because no one wants to eat shoe leather. If I were to own a pastry shop, and my pastries tasted like cardboard, I wouldn't expect much business. Do a Google search, find out what BBQ means, and in the mean time, remove the smokey bones sign, and replace it with "Payless Shoes" or Nike. As long as you are going to serve meat that is no better than a pair of shoes, then you should at least have their name brand as well. Oh..by the way...the piece of French toast was nice. Small,,,but nice. Waiting for a reply, sincerely dissatisfied,,,Mike
