Apria Healthcare
I went to the business on Wednesday; they claimed that they did not have any of the monitors for an overnight oxygen level observation at that location, & that it would have to be delivered. It was to be delivered the next day; it wasn't. Then the NEXT day; it wasn't. Finally got it delivered the 3rd day. After completing the test & calling for them to pick the unit up, they have called every day of this week to say that they would be by to pick it up. On the 2nd no-show day, I called & asked where it needed to go, so I could deliver it myself. It was the original place that told me they didn't have any there. (steam out my ears!) They said they would notify the service that I brought it in & they wouldn't need to pick it up; however, Thursday, they came to pick it up, 2 days after I had taken it in myself. They were never unpleasant in any way; however, in that business, I have to say that I think competence is a must, & being nice doesn't make up for the lack of same.

All Saints Home Care Inc
I had a rather poor experience with a former home health assistant. She was the worst person I've seen. She always put her wishes ahead of mine such as pointing to her hands to indicate that I hand over my watch, mobile phone and glasses. I find that insulting and humiliating!! I think the person should not be a good home health aide permanently!!!

Loving Touch Home Health Care
Just be careful with this agency talk to case managers before you use them. I wish that we have its been a really bad experience. The owner is not caring or willing to keep her word. The hospital case managers told us to change company asap so we did. No stars

Loving Touch Home Health Care
If I did not have to give a star I would not they do not deserve one star buyer beware this company is so unprofessional the owner is so rude the staff makes people and there clients fell like they don't care because they don't care about the care they give all they care about is the bottom dollar if they can't make money off of it they don't want to help you I will look at a different home health agency before I would ever use this company ever again I do not recommend them because of the staff being rude and the owner being a liar just saying

Not a good place to go if you need good medical attention. I went in suspecting I had shingles. I asked then if I had shingles, they said nope, its poison ivy. sent me home with a topical lotion. Two days later, went to a REAL emergency room, and guess what? I have shingles! I had missed the 48 hour window for proper treatment. Been bed ridden for 3 days.I will give them 1 star because yp will not let me leave 0.

IMC Immediate Medical Care East
Went in with a severe cough, was asked if my throat hurt. Said I have drainage, so yes, it hurts mildly, however I have A SEVERE COUGH. Nurse immediately tested me for strep. I have never had strep. The doctor came in a few minutes later and confirmed strep despite a) no swelling and b) A SEVERE COUGH. Was handed a doctor's note and script for amoxicillin. People - Strep is never associated with a cough. It's actually a signifier that the patient DOES NOT have strep.Totally scammed. Do not go there.
Tips & Advices
Academic medical centers provide the widest range of specialty care treatments, including the latest technological advances, clinical trials, and surgical techniques. In general, an academic medical center is a better choice than a community hospital for complicated treatments or rare diseases. Pediatric intensive care, especially, is usually performed at academic medical centers.
Academic medical centers offer a broad range of specialized services, from allergists to urologists. Some of the larger medical centers have entire hospitals or clinics focused on a particular medical service, such as cancer treatment, though specialties vary among the centers. Patients whose community hospital or local doctors do not have the facilities or expertise to address complex medical conditions can be referred by their primary care physician or local specialist to a major medical center (there are more than a dozen in the United States).
Yes. In addition to their inpatient hospital services, medical centers can offer a wide variety of outpatient services, such as pain clinics, rehabilitation centers, surgery, imaging and laboratory, mental health treatment, and outpatient cancer treatment. Medical groups – doctors in private practice but affiliated with the medical center--will also have offices within the medical center.
Physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, residents, and attending physicians makeup the clinical staff of an academic medical center.
Medical center accreditation is not required, but most centers work voluntarily toward accreditation because it represents higher standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.
