Brown, Kate, MD
Definitely would recommend Dr. Yekaterina "Kate" Brown to anybody. Not only she is very attentive and went over my lab results thoroughly and answered all my questions about my medical condition, but she also PERSONALLY called me when I needed follow up on my labs! I am very satisfied with the care I got at her office/Brown Family Practice. Will keep her as my PCP from now on!

Great doctor! Very knowledgeable, confident, compassionate, empathetic and thorough. Spent a lot of time with me discussing my problems. Great office staff. Great office atmosphere. Never had wait for an appointment. Prompt referrals to specialists. Overall a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

We love the very personal care we have received from Dr. Irvin and his PA. The nursing and office staff could not be more accommodating or helpful. They are terrific and have met our every need. We have moved and will miss them terribly. Our next family practice will never be able to measure up. Thanks ALL of you!!! Verna Hazlett

Dr. Kaye-Anne Lorraine Newton, MD
Very nice doctor, very rude staff. I, along with other patients, could hear them making fun of me from the waiting room. Also, the doctor will accept my Medical Mutual of OHIO insurance in WV, but not in OH. Weird. Won't be going back there.

Dr. Massey and Angela Thompson have been my gynecological practitioners for many years. Both are very competent professionals, and always willing to listen to my concerns. They care about women of all ages and backgrounds.

I was in the ER last week and was rush to emergency surgery. Then had a 4 day stay. Everyone from the door to the floor was great.

Tips & Advices
A child should see his or her pediatrician frequently during the first few years. Once the child reaches age 3, parents should schedule a doctor's visit at least once per year. Before that, however, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents arrange visits according to the following schedule:
  • 2 to 5 days old
  • 1 month old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months old
  • 15 months old
  • 24 months old (2 years)
  • 30 months old (2.5 years)
No, parents should call 911, an emergency physician, or a pediatric emergency physician if a child suffers an acute illness or injuries. Doctors in these fields are more qualified than pediatricians to handle emergency situations.
A well-visit is a routine visit with a pediatrician to track a child's development, discuss medical or emotional concerns, and receive immunizations and medical advice.
Yes, pediatricians provide immunizations for infants and children up through 21 years.
No, pediatricians do not have to be board certified. They're only required to have a state license. However, certification indicates a dedication to studying pediatrics beyond the requirements.
