Sears Auto Center
Tonya J Sears Westland Automotive on December 3 2016 My experience was different than any Ive had when going to get my car serviced. I am a regular customer at the Westland Location while waiting for my vehicle I had the privilige of meeting two new employees who made my wait sooooo worth my while!!! The new Mgr Ron Young has been exceptional customer service from the time I called for a same day appt til the minute I left!!! Then you have Sean a mechanic that females can trust to work on their cars with patience and persistence until the problem is resolved. Last but not Least Tammy customer service rep has worked alone in the past and has handled Rushes of customers with patience hardwork and the best caring attitude!!! And now that Ron and Sean are part of the team The Westland Location is improving and it will continue to improve dispite complaints of wait times from others at least you know the work is not being rush thru which insures a thorough job.

I was involved in a accident about 2 weeks ago. I had damage to my back bumper, door, trunk, and wheels. I sent my car to them from a friend of mine that told me to take it there. I have a BMW and figured that only the dealer would be able to fix it but it would take forever. I took it to them and from my first interaction with Lance, the owner, I felt like I had no worries about my car being fixed to the absolute best. I got my car the other day and they knocked it out of the park! My car looks brand new and handles like it was a band new car. They did a fantastic job and would call me to let me know what was going on and the time frame. They even fixed a few minor things that were not due to the accident. By far the best place to take your car for anything. I will be bring all of my card there for any work and telling everyone to bring their car there for any type of work!

Performance Auto Care
Just wanted to tell everyone today I needed a mechanic to look at my van because it was stalling all the time while driving. I drive freeways nearly everyday so it had to be repaired. I took the van to two large well known places who did not know what was wrong but willing to charge me $85 for a look. Once they looked they started leading me down the usual rip off financial road but I walked. ($1150 in repairs from one and the other $1300.) As luck would have it, I found a car whisperer (Wayne) who knew exactly what was wrong within seconds of turning the key. Honest Car Care on Wayne Rd in Westland. I would recommend this place to my own family and from now on this is the only place I'll go for any auto care. Oh and my problem was a hose with a hole in it. So very happy today. :)

I stopped in at the shop to have my Dodge Ram truck air conditioning charged. They were prompt to greet me and able to get it taken care of right away at a reasonable price. The tech advised me the air was working well and showed me that I had to press a button to activate the cool setting. They did not charge me for their time. I have had a previous car serviced here and had great experience with the work and service that time too. Another customer having his car serviced was telling me how great they are and you can tell they have regular repeat business.

Royal Auto Care
experienced, helpful staff, service & mechanics! Helpful and fast service. I didn't feel like they gave me the run around. They had the repair fixed on the same day and didn't pressure me for unneeded repairs. Highly recommend this new repair shop!

Tips & Advices
If you have comprehensive coverage, some - if not all - of the windshield repair and replacement costs are covered by the insurance company. Check with your insurance company to inquire about what they are able to pay. It’s also important to consider the deductible. If the cost of the replacement/repair is greater than the current deductible, the insurance company can cover the difference. But if the repair costs are less than the deductible, you will have to pay the full cost out of pocket.
Generally, most professionals can install a new windshield in around one hour and can make repairs in less than 30 minutes.
Wait 24 hours before entering a car wash with a new or repaired windshield. The high water pressures and cleaning chemicals could damage the windshield adhesive.
Most professional installers advise waiting an hour before driving again with a new or repaired windshield.
The cost of replacing a windshield can vary even more than getting it repaired, because the vehicle’s make and model, not the severity of the crack/chip, determine costs. Newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
