Baker Veterinary Clinic
I have been a dog groomer for 32 years I have a beautiful euro doberman I feed him the best food I bathe him in the best shampoo and I was taking him to another vet since he was a puppy. I asked my other vet why my dogs coat seem to be very dry and grow in looking like a dead hair in some areas... his response to me was some of the blue Dobermans and red Doberman have skin issues, and just dismissed the issue!! As a dog groomer I hear many things from people being satisfied or not being satisfied with the veterinarian, so with this information I decided to take my Doberman to see Dr. Baker. After looking over baron Dr. Baker suggested we do a thyroid test because of the spars dry hair in areas and obvious fading and discoloration of the hair as well... at that point I explain to Dr. Baker I spoke to my prior vet about this one year ago.... after the thyroid test Dr. Baker came back with the results and sure enough my sweet Doberman has a thyroid condition.... I am very disappointed and angry with my other vet for knowing my dog for so long and either not caring or not knowing enough to detect this condition.... and I am truly grateful to Dr Baker for her diagnosis after five days of being on thyroid pills Barons coat not only looks better but he's playing with his toys more and he's acting like a young strong the dog should❤️

He is amazing!!!!! I initially took my dog to palm beach vet specialist on forest hill and they first misdiagnosed my dog then i came back the next day and they said they needed to take more xrays and needed more money to do so, meanwhile i spent 500 the previous day for them to misdiagnose my dog. On the second time around they said they think they found something and would need to do surgery, so they drew up a price and it was 4500$ which i cant afford. And they gave me no hope and was also very rude the entire time[ I also asked the vet for advice and he said i dont ever have to worry about finnaces for anything so i cant help you.] . I called around to friends and they recommend Dr. miller because he cares and is reasonably priced. He got me in the very next day for surgery , and only for 800$ including medicine. I cant express enough how much he acutally cares!

I have been bringing my pets to Animal Medical Clinic since 1987. Dr. Miller is an excellent vet and has reasonable pricing; he does not pad bills with unnecessary labs and diagnostics. Also, he is not inflammatory when discussing your pets needs. He is more than willing to "wait and see" and doesn't make you come back for billable appointment after appointment. For instance, my mother's cat heart rate was elevated and she has lost a little weight, he did initial lab work to check her thyroid which was normal; he had us come back (without charge) just to keep track of her weight. Although his building may not be new and fancy, he has everything needed to do an excellent job! His staff is friendly and helpful.

I started taking my dog to Dr. Miller a few years ago after my sister highly recommended him. Dr. Miller is awesome. He is a very caring, knowledgeable, skilled vet. His prices are more than fair. His staff are very caring, nice people. He knows my dog by name and always makes a big fuss over her whenever I bring her in. He is like that with all of his patients. He really cares about the animals. She had a very serious auto immune issue a couple of years ago. We could have lost her but Dr. Miller saved her life. She is just fine now. If we have an issue I can call and they always fit us into their schedule and I know she is getting the very best care. Dr. Miller and his staff are WONDERFUL! :)

I am so lucky to have found Dr Oberto and her staff for my fur baby. The staff is so caring. Dr. Oberto listens to my concerns I may have about my cat and she is so patient and caring. I wouldn't trust my cat with any other vet. If your looking for a vet for your fur babies I HIGHLY recommend All Care Animal Clinic. Believe me. They are the BEST in Palm Beach County

Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
