A1 Diner
I cant understand the first post . This diner was clean as any ive seen. The people were friendly and the food was delicious. Im not a millionaire but found the prices to be inline with every other diner ive been to. If u couldnt afford it, then you shouldnt have ordered it . I think people just want to hate the new place cause its the new place. I wont stop going here because i just LOVE the cakes they have.

A1 Diner
Bad service, the juice cups they serve in look like shot drinks and they have the nerve to charge $2.95. There were ants under our table. They bring out our meals and they are not even complete. They then explain they have this but not that. Awful service, worst diner in town. Dont go to A1 diner on the saw mill road in west haven .

App's Ristorante
We just had a party for my grandmother's 80th birthday here and it was HORRIBLE. Our server was rude and arrogant and barely spoke to us. We were a party of around 20 and had one server in a private room. I was never offered anything to drink.... not once. Our server barely tried to speak over the crowd and was auctioning off food to the table that was talking and could not even hear her. She was talking about us in clear view each and every time she walked out of the room. If she could not find the owner of a dish, she would slam the plate down and look at her book to find the owner. Occasionally other servers came in and out of the room, which was the only time the majority of the room got offered beverages. Our food was expensive for the portion sizes, and more than one order was wrong, and the server just said "I rang in a chicken parm instead of a chicken marsala, accidents happen" and walked out, leaving my mother to wait another 20 minutes on top of the 45 it originally took to get our food. NO APOLOGY. The kids meals were the last to arrive at the table and came out SCREAMING HOT at least 10 minutes after everyone else was served.... First rule of restaurants (I've worked in many).... Feed the kids first, and NEVER give them burning hot food. We spent over $600 on a terrible meal and a terrible experience here. I will NEVER EVER go back here and will never allow anyone I care about to eat here. Absolutely awful and they should be ashamed of themselves. Thank God my grandmother was so excited to have her extended family together that she did not seem to be bothered by any of it.

Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano
We attended a party at Lorenzo's and the service was excellent and the food was delicious! We also ordered take-out and the service was prompt and again the food was delicious! I would recommend this restaurant!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
