Kirsten's Kitchens
We enjoy using our kitchen but it was a very difficult process getting to the final result. The designer, Kirsten, seemed accommodating and helpful at first. But the moment problems arose she backed away from any responsibility even when the issues were clearly her fault. With repeated mishaps I would even go so far as to say she is unethical. With so many good kitchen designers to choose from I would suggest you avoid this one.

We had a lot of difficulty with this designer during the installation process. Everything appeared on track until we realized much of her design work was flawed from the start. Guess who ended up paying for all of her mistakes? We also constantly found ourselves questioning her ability to get the job completed. Her response was always that it was someone else who was to blame (contractor, supplier, and on and on). It did get completed way off budget and much later than expected but the kitchen looks nice. If could do it again from the start we would be wary of the sweet talk and promises and definitely go elsewhere.

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
We are so very pleased with our master bathroom remodeled by Chester County Kitchen and Bath. In addition, we had 2 smaller bathrooms updated with shower doors and counter tops. Nathan, who lead the project and Bill and Osara Hyde who did ALL the construction including plumbing, electric, tiling and painting made the project far less painful than we anticipated such a job would be. Nathan helped us through the design and quickly responded to our concerns or questions. He regularly came to the house to check on the progress of the project. The Hydes were always prompt, polite, trustworthy and had pride of workmanship. They had suggestions and advice that saved us from making some design mistakes and willingly accommodated our “add-ons” and unanticipated extras. Even when glitches arose which are expected in such a project, their attitude was always to make it right. The project was completed on time despite an unexpected retiling of a secondary shower stall. CCK&B and the Hydes showed us quality customer service and worked with us to create a beautiful master bath within our budget.

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
We just got Chester County Kitchen and Bath to remodel our bathroom. The contractor was Bill and Orasa Hyde. While we had a few issues with Chester County, the shower door being installed backward, phone calls not returned promptly, this review focuses on Bill and his wife Orasa Hyde. What wonderful people. Clean, professional and meticulous in their work. I cannot tell you how wonderful they are. Best contractor I have ever dealt with in 20 years. We are getting them, back next year to redo our kitchen. The quality of their work is second to none. If you ever get Chester County to remodel ask for them by name and do not settle for anyone else. Bill and his wife saved our remodel.

Do not use this person... She will tell you that she can do the job within your budget and then give you a plan that is almost double the amount you told her you could spend. And she'll keep the deposit you gave her! Bad ethics... Watch it.

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
Our master bathroom rennovation was recently completed by Chester County Kitchen and Bath. The entire project, from working with Mitchell on the design, to selecting tile and fixtures from very knowledgeable and helpful salepeople to the expert workmanship of Bill and Orasa Hyde was a pleasure. We ran into a few glitches along the way (thru no fault of CCKB) but Bill was quickly and efficiently able to come up with plan B and proceed without missing a beat. From demolition to the final inspection, our satisfaction was their #1 priority. They were a joy to work with. I would highly recommend CCKB and Bill and Orasa Hyde.

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
We just had our master bath remodeled by CCKB, via the team of Bill & Orasa Hyde. The experience was a pleasure and the workmanship is flawless. I appreciated the fact that they did all of the work themselves and that they were so personable, knowledgable and professional. I felt so comfortable being able to leave the house with them here and that was important as well as the fact that they came every day as promised. I would definitely recommend them and hope to have the opportunity to use them again soon. Thanks for a job well-done!

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
We just completed a total remodel of our kitchen and master bath. Chester County Kitchen and Bath did a fabulous job. I would highly recommend them for any remodel job. Their level professionalism and hands on approach made the entire process a pleasure. Communication is always first in their approach. Mitchell designed our rooms and listened to our wants and needs, then made it happen. Bill and Orasa Hyde did all the tile work for our remodel and they are perfectionists. Outstanding work. Every one of their subcontractors is a craftsman. Their work is exceptional. We would recommend and certainly use CCKB again.

Chester County Kitchen & Bath
I just recently called CC Kitchen and Bath with a question about mold growth in our master bath. Bill and Orasa Hyde completed both our master and children's bath 3 years ago. They came out the next day to address our concern and fix the problem. Even though it has been 3 years they were very responsive and helpful. Thank you Bill and Orasa for not only giving us beautiful bathrooms but also for your follow up!
Tips & Advices
A stove hood is not legally required in most residential building codes, but it's a good idea to get a clear picture of what the rules are in your neighborhood. Even if you're not legally required to install one, there are many good reasons for investing in a stove hood. They improve conditions in your kitchen by sucking up airborne grease and cooking odors, and are available in both ducted and ductless varieties.
Yes, hardwood floors can be used in a kitchen, and can add richness and warmth to its environment. Hardwood floors are durable and resilient, even with spills and stains. They are also easy to update via refinishing.
There are many different types of kitchen counter materials. Quartz is a popular choice, and is resistant to stains and scratching. Granite counters are beloved for their look, and can boost the value of your home. If you're price sensitive, laminate counters are a great choice. Other types of kitchen counter materials include wood, marble, stainless steel, glass, concrete, and soapstone.
The average kitchen remodel takes four to six weeks. Keep in mind that this doesn't include the time required for planning and design. The time required for the remodel will vary based on the size of the kitchen. Additionally, some remodels are more extensive than others, which also impacts the time required to complete the job.
The standard height of a kitchen counter is 36 inches when measured from the floor. Kitchen appliances, such as dishwashers and stoves, are built with this height in mind. However, different customers might have different requirements when it comes to choosing an ergonomic kitchen counter. For example, the ideal kitchen-counter height for someone who uses a wheelchair is roughly 31-34 inches.
