We went on a Sat morning- wondered why there were only 3 other tables besides us. When our food was served, we knew why. I ordered my eggs over medium - they were over easy. Food was cold. Hubby ordered home fries, got hash browns. His food was cold. He also ordered sausage gravy and biscuits - usually receive a bowl of the sausage gravy. He received a much smaller portion of the sausage gravy (cup size rather than bowl size). It also took an extremely long time to receive our food once we ordered. Considering how few people were in the restaurant, the amount of time was inexcusable - and then it was COLD!!!! It must have been sitting awhile before the waitress brought it to the table.Waitress did not come around and offer more coffee - spent time chatting with other employees. The other 3 tables complained about their food as well. They need to hire a cook, or just close the place. Will never go back there! Combination of BAD cook, and poor waitress.
Last week, a friend of mine took me to a Restaurant called, Nick's Country Oven, located at 2505 Pontiac Lake Rd, Waterford, MI 48328. Phone 248-681-5800. It was the 1st time I have been there, as this location hasn't been open for that long, and I live in the Clarkston area, so I haven't been in this area lately. (FYI -They are located right across from the Oakland County Road Commission, and just across Telegraph on Pontiac Lake Rd., from the Oakland County Court House, County Jail, and County Office's complex.)BUT - what I found was the best home-made food I've eaten, out in a restaurant, in I can't tell you when. The manager's for this location, Martin and Pam, along with their daughter, Jackie, made us feel like we were family from the minute we walked in. I can't express how exciting it was to find truly great food, at extremely reasonable prices, and in such a friendly, and spotlessly clean restaurant. If you need food fast, just call ahead!! If you need a small or large room for an office meeting, a shower, a holiday get together with family and friends, a room to hold a networking meeting, etc., they have it. They also have lunch specials from 11am-3pm that can be take-out or eat in and ready for you when you get there, if you phone ahead and place your order! I also noticed a bulletin board in their entryway, that showed a rotating diner special for everyday of the week. I would call their food menu International Cuisine, because I didn't see a culture that couldn't find something to eat that would take them back to their roots and make them feel like were back home!! I really hope you will try them. You won't be disappointed....Oh, and every Friday is all you can eat fish and chips! IT WAS THE BEST! Yum....:-)
Wow really not so good... no hot sauce!, the name " mr cheese" should serve better than a bagged triple cheese! Tacos are ok,,, no flan, chips not cooked enough, etc.. etc.. nothing worth a second look for us.. sorry
