Dr. Patabi Raj Seetharaman, MD
I was seeing a different Ophthalmologist who decided to take me off the eye drops I was on to keep my eye pressure stable. I decided I needed to get a second opinion and went to see Dr. Seetharaman because he was highly recommended to me. Dr Seetharaman checked my pressure and although my right eye pressure wasn't bad, my left eye had spiked, so Dr immediately put me back on drops to get my pressure to stabilize. He is very knownledgable, and will take the time to expalin things to you if needed. Him and his staff are very friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Seetharaman to anyone.

Dr. Kyle was wonderful to my son and me. I usually don't post reviews, but his care and bedside manner were so good that I felt I needed to say something. I was really worried about a rash my son had (I'm a new mom), and Dr. Kyle put both of us at ease. He even made my son smile, which is hard to do at a doctor's office. His staff was caring and efficient. Dr. Kyle is a fast talker and fast mover, but he answered all my questions and really seemed to care. I have seen other dermatologists, and he is by far the best in the Warren-Youngstown area.

Torres Jose
I have serious issues when it comes to trusting doctors. But I have been seeing Dr. Torres for almost 2 years now, and I just him and his staff. He takes his time with you if you have any concerns or need to talk about something he is there for you, he always listen to what you have to say. And no matter what he will help you in any way that he can. I would recommend Dr. Torres to any of my friends, that's how much I trust him.

Wagamon, Kyle L, MD
I took my kid here because his scalp was all flaky and I was sure he was covered in fungus or something. Dr. Wagamon took a sample and did a test. Not fungus. Just exema, so we now use a special shampoo. He was really good with my son, especially since he needed to scrape his head to get a sample. No tears.

I had my cataracts removed in 2013. The main reason I would highly recommend Dr. S is that he takes the time to explain everything about the procedure and what to expect. He is so very personable that he removes all the doubts and fears you have about the surgery. I LOVE my new vision!!

A great doctor and an excellent surgeon. He has really good bedside manners, and is a nice guy. His facial surgery for cancer, left a very small scar, on my 86 year old friend.

Tips & Advices
Academic medical centers provide the widest range of specialty care treatments, including the latest technological advances, clinical trials, and surgical techniques. In general, an academic medical center is a better choice than a community hospital for complicated treatments or rare diseases. Pediatric intensive care, especially, is usually performed at academic medical centers.
Academic medical centers offer a broad range of specialized services, from allergists to urologists. Some of the larger medical centers have entire hospitals or clinics focused on a particular medical service, such as cancer treatment, though specialties vary among the centers. Patients whose community hospital or local doctors do not have the facilities or expertise to address complex medical conditions can be referred by their primary care physician or local specialist to a major medical center (there are more than a dozen in the United States).
Yes. In addition to their inpatient hospital services, medical centers can offer a wide variety of outpatient services, such as pain clinics, rehabilitation centers, surgery, imaging and laboratory, mental health treatment, and outpatient cancer treatment. Medical groups – doctors in private practice but affiliated with the medical center--will also have offices within the medical center.
Physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, residents, and attending physicians makeup the clinical staff of an academic medical center.
Medical center accreditation is not required, but most centers work voluntarily toward accreditation because it represents higher standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.
