Al-Shroof Mohammad N MD
Dr. Al-Shroof & his NP, Gerald, are 2 of the kindest & most capable health care providers I've ever had the great fortune of knowing. Their breadth of knowledge is astounding (Dr A-S reads more journals than I was aware were out there - & I'm in the medical field, too!), yet they don't rely only on what they already know, but research & consult others when there is even a slight uncertainty. They also each listen - truly listen - & do not apply "cookie-cutter medicine" to anyone's case. Sometimes the wait is long, but that is only because they are each spending extra time w/a patient who, for whatever reason that day, needs it. My husband used to grumble until he saw their reaction to an emergency &, since then, says he is glad to wait however long it takes. He now knows that if he ever needs it, it will be willingly given. They each diagnosed conditions multiple specialists either missed totally or had been unable to figure out. Gerald & Dr. Al-Shroof did not stop until we (yes, I was part of the team, not just a lump on the exam table) figured out what was happening, & then how to fix - or at least better - the situation. Even previously diagnosed conditions are continually monitored & obviously considered when I'm not at the office, as new comfort measures or treatments are sometimes suggested, though that's not my main reason for a visit, that day.

nice clean office and exam room's with tv's to watch while you wait for the doctor. friendly, efficient front staff and nurse's. wait time may be a little long but some patient's have simple health issue's while other's have more complex health matter's that the doctor is addressing with each of them. and when this physician enters your exam room, he is focuses on you and your concern's and the best treatment available for you. this is a good, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor and i would place my life in his care any day of the week without hesitation.

Patel, Hamantkumar, MD
I went to him after another doctor had mis-diagnosed a problem, he got it right and had me fixed up. One thing, bring a book since he gives others the time he gives you and you may get a chance to read a bit while you wait.

My son has been seeing Dr. Bhasin for 7 years now. Before finding her, we have lost all hope that we would find a psychiatrist to help him.

The cleanliness and overall environment of Dr. Deepti Bhasin's office exceeds my expectations of a medical practice.
Tips & Advices
A child should see his or her pediatrician frequently during the first few years. Once the child reaches age 3, parents should schedule a doctor's visit at least once per year. Before that, however, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents arrange visits according to the following schedule:
  • 2 to 5 days old
  • 1 month old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months old
  • 15 months old
  • 24 months old (2 years)
  • 30 months old (2.5 years)
No, parents should call 911, an emergency physician, or a pediatric emergency physician if a child suffers an acute illness or injuries. Doctors in these fields are more qualified than pediatricians to handle emergency situations.
A well-visit is a routine visit with a pediatrician to track a child's development, discuss medical or emotional concerns, and receive immunizations and medical advice.
Yes, pediatricians provide immunizations for infants and children up through 21 years.
No, pediatricians do not have to be board certified. They're only required to have a state license. However, certification indicates a dedication to studying pediatrics beyond the requirements.
