Don't drive away because of the looks of building. The food was awesome. They make everything including sauces. All the meats are great. I love ribs so that was my favorite. My husband couldn't quit eating the potatoe salad. Prices are great and service is awesome. Just west of I35. Take the 5th-7th street exit. Stay on frontage Rd until 8th street. Turn right will be a couple of blocks on your left. Real friendly folks.

No review's yet...Wow! Uncle Dan's is the best "Damn" barbecue restaurant in the whole state. I have been to many barbecue restaurant across the state and I can say... none of them can hold a candle to Uncle Dan's. My favorite is the lean brisket plate with "Yellow" potatoe salad and greenbeans.

Stopped in here on our way to Dallas one weekend. It's a very casual place where meals aren't served on plates. We ordered a meal with several different meats and enjoyed them all. Ruby's BBQ turkey is juicy, tender and well seasoned. It's the best BBQ turkey I've had so far!

I mostly order take home. Day after Thanksgiving and a house full sick of turkey I decided to drive from bruceville to waco dickies. Bought a whole uncut brisket at Super price. The crowd eat it like they've never had tasted such good beef. It was juicy, tender and lean. The flavor will keep them going back for more. The newly opened location has great employees and of course the food is the best in waco.
330 Austin Ave
Just not impressed is my first impression. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwhich. I choose sliced brisket because it generally isn't falling out all over the place like chopped brisket....this was a chopped brisket sandwhich, extremely fatty meat, just big chunks instead of little ones. The mac and cheese was a hard, congealed mess, BIG glob of pepper on one side. When I placed my order, menu offers sliced brisket with a side of chips and your choice of a dessert. When I tried to place the order, I was informed I was looking at the wrong menu. Went through the links twice, verifying I was on the menu for the Austin Ave location, it's there, but they do not serve it. Waited for a togo order way to long. I don't think I'm likely to recommend or return.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant I was impressed with the restaurants decor. Movie posters and housing exteriors decorate the walls of the building.\r The hostesses sit you down promptly and we were greeted immediately by our server with a smile.\r \r The food was delicious! I had their ""signature dish"", the Chicken Gratziano and the side of grilled vegetables was a perfect pairing. \r \r If you are looking for a change from your chain Italian Restaurants (i.e. Johnny Carinos, Olive Garden), this is the place to go. Good food, good atmosphere, and AMAZINZ Happy Hour Deals!

Dry with no flavor. That explains the food as well as the staff. I've had better BBQ at Rudy's. You would think a small-town BBQ place would sport very good food, but this was not the case. I had the pulled pork plate and also tried some of my buddy's brisket. Dry. And without putting the generic BBQ sauce on top, there was absolutely no flavor. Even the beans and potato salad lacked the kind of flavor I would expect. The staff was very uptight. When we walked in, no one greeted us. Even worse, the guy cutting the meat (I'm thinking the owner?) just stared at us! It was very awkward. And the lady helping us made any request we had seem like she had to move a mountain to get it taken care of. Finally, the food is SO overpriced! What makes this worse is they have a sign that "justifies" their high prices by claiming they serve quality food. What a joke. This was my first and last time to go to Rusty Star BBQ. I tend to go back to restaurants if at least the customer service or food is good. Seeing as this restaurant had neither, I'm not coming back and I'm not recommending it to anyone.
