Swanson Erik DMD
Let me start by saying I would still have all my teeth if I discovered this dentist sooner. I am 79 years old and over the years have seen more than my share of dentists. After our dentist of forty years passed away, my wife and I saw other dentists. I will not mention their names. Let me just say things could have been better. I ended up with gum problems and my wife needed a lot of dental repair work. Our next door neighbor suggested Dr. Erik Swanson. He is a soft-spoken, pleasant, caring, first class professional. All work is done by him on the premises; root canals, crowns, implants, etc. His staff is the best; from the friendly welcoming front-desk ladies, Mary and Laurie, to the very meticulous and pleasant hygienists, and dental assistants. There is heavy emphasis placed on prevention through the use of hygienists. The hygienist who works on my wife and I is named Alicia and she is just wonderful. She has the light touch and I cannot believe how great my teeth look after she works on them. Almost hate to eat with them. The waiting room is very pleasant and relaxing, and there is a very impressive, beautiful grandfather clock there making mellow relaxing sounds. You almost forget you are at the dentist. I would definitely recommend this place.

Redd, Burton M.D.
Dr Redd was the finest and kindest compassionate doc I've ever had the pleasure of having care for my then 10 yr Old son with cerebral palsy .. from what I understand Dr read works all up and down the state of California because he did surgery on my son from Porterville in Downey California at a children's hospital and I just happened to be a brand new nurse at the time and he was gracious enough to see that my mother and I were exhausted allowed me to bring my son home after the first night ...I was exhausted !!! He knew that too so because of that ? And the two or so hour drive ?? He ,out of his own pocket. had his private pilot fly my son and I in the comfort of his private jet to Porterville so we could come home sooner... I thought it was the most compassionate thing that I've ever seen and I was a RN for thirty plus years in every aspect of nursing and never ran into a doctor anything like or even similar in anyway like Dr. Redd ... He's an amazing doctor hands down ... I would trust no other to my children OR EVEN GRANDCHILDREN and anyone who knows me?? Knows how SERIOUSLY protective I am over my grandchildren lol FIVE STARS DR REDD !! I would give you more if it were possible

Sequoia Prompt Care
This place is AMAZING!!! I will NEVER GO TO EMERGENCY AGAIN!!! I broke two ribs and walked right in to an exam room without even sitting down in the waiting room! The nurses and doctor were the kindest and most sympathetic I have ever seen in my entire life!!! The X-rays had to be taken at the other urgent care because they do not yet have an X-ray machine yet. That was the only downfall, but I will still go there in the future even with a broken bone and happily get the X-ray elsewhere! I truly cannot express my gratitude to them enough for their caring and concern! They even called me the next day to check up on how I was doing AND they sent me a get well card about a week after that!!! This place is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention this was all taken care of by my health insurance (Blue Cross) with my only paying my office copay of $40!!! Had I gone to The ER, it would have cost me a $500 emergency room copay (which is standard for emergency room visits)!!!!

Voong Calvon MD QME
Dr Voong is an a**hole. He doesn't give a sh*t about his patients. I sat in his office crying because of how bad my back was hurting. He came in the room told me to continue taking the medication I'm allergic to (seriously he did) and come back in February. When I asked him for a different kind of pain medicine....tramadol is what he gave me last time. Anyways when I asked him to please give me anything besides tramadol he said, "nope nope nope" and started walking for the door. When I asked him if he was going to come help me take care of my 8 month old and 2 year old then he said, "I'M NOT DOING THIS WITH YOU" then walked out and slammed the door. If you have options choose anyone other than him. He has a God complex and thinks he's better than all of his patients. I truly hate this dr. It was so bad today I filed a medical grievance with the medical board today. I'm not the kind of person to do something like that. But it was seriously horrible fu*k this guy, man

Sequoia Prompt Care
I have been to this medical office twice. Once to be signed off for a Workers Comp Claim. Was in and out in a few minutes. Everyone was friendly, it was clean, and I was impressed. The second time I took my adult son with a bad knee injury. He had just injured it. I called ahead and asked how busy they were, and ask about x-ray facilities. When I got there and asked for assistance to get my son out of the car, I was immediately assisted with sending someone out to the car to him to check him out, and was given instructions to go to the Court Street clinic for x-rays. They were expecting us and there was no wait. In and out in 25 minutes. We returned to Sequoia Prompt Care and my son was assisted inside the Clinic with a wheelchair. My son received excellent care promptly. The entire staff was friendly, caring, and very professional. I've recommended this Clinic to family and coworkers.

Visalia Family Dentistry
I was not too happy with my dental visit. It took almost 45 minutes for the receptionist to find my insurance, and the whole time she was fussing about how hard it is to look up someone with Jose as their first name. After that, I was seen very quickly, and Dr. Antolin is nice enough, but I don't like how he cleaned my teeth. He started with the polish, and the dental tool he used was mechanic, so it made a terrible whirring sound while he cleaned my front teeth. All of my teeth were not cleaned, and the assistant only flossed my back molars, which I could have done at home. The receptionist had disappeared when I was done, and I waited 15 minutes before giving up and leaving because I was already late for my other appointments. Overall, I've had worse experiences, but I am definitely not going back, and I am not recommending this place to a person who cares about having clean teeth.

Stillwater, Lyle B MD FACS
After seeing this doctor several times, I realized, although he may not seem to have a great bedside manner at times, it is because he is paying very close attention to what I am saying, taking it all in. He doesn't miss anything. Ultimately, he is an excellent doctor because of it. He is not dismissive at all the way some doctors are the way they pat you on the back seeming to have a great bedside manner, but not really listening to you at all. I'd rather have Dr. Stillwater, who pays attention and knows what he's doing, than all the other so-so doctors with all their smiles and so-so knowledge put together.

Wu Roger C F D O
I am 57 and i started seeing dr. Wu in dec. 2012 and did a routine colonoscopy. He found a very large polyp that required surgery and had to remove part of my colon. It could of been cancerious in a year. I have since been seeing him for follow up colonoscopies and had smaller polyps removed before they turned into something more like before. He has been seeing me for years now and I can't say enough good things about him. He always explained himself and really puts me at ease. He's an awsome doctor and I highly recommend him. Without his best equipment and his expertise I may not be here today.

Marie Bergeron, D.D.S.
I am very pleased with the dental service I'm receiving from Dr. Bergeron. She is very gentle and explains in detail what she is doing, she is very patient and answers all my questions. I am super happy with the dental results, Dr. Bergeron did an awesome job! Her hygienist TyTy did a great job (I had "deep cleaning" procedure). I read the negative reviews and am shocked. I've had no problems with Dr. Bergeron or the billing procedures; I was never overcharged - my dental insurance was never overcharged. Also, her prices are very reasonable.Barbara S.Visalia

Valley Neurology Medical Clinic Inc
Very through. I have been to at least 10 Neuro by the time I got here I was told I one neuro disorder that I had been taking major drugs for 18 years. He sent me to UCLA and did numerous test and I don't have that disorder. He found other things wrong. One was very simple, but mimics major neuro issues, I don't process B12. When it gets too low I can't walk, etc. The office rules are simple call and confirm that you got there reminder call. get there 15 min early. Well worth it for the EXCELLENT MD

An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
