Childress Flax & Levine PC
Save yourself the frustration of delays and no return communications. Unprofessional staff, some only work a few days a week and are behind in their work. You will be forgotten, often. The experience means nothing if they don't call you back despite repeated messages left.

My daughter was appointed Mr. Imbrogno in our custody case and he was very informative and looked out for the best interest of my daughter. I would highly recommend him to anyone of my friends and family.

The Firm for Men
I felt really great when I needed legal services when I was following my divorce. It was very difficult since my wife had a lot of influence around Virginia Beach, evening calling some attorneys after I've engaged them. The only reason I chose The Firm For Men was because their services are targeting men.Since engaging the law firm,I've had some wonderful space to concentrate on what matters most to me. All the pressure that was messing me up reduced tremendously, and I'm living a better life now.The case isn't over yet,But I know that things are getting better.

Garrett Law Group Plc
Garrett Law Group handled my uncontested divorce. It was a lot less difficult that I initially thought. I met with Ms. Grant, gave her some information, exchanged some emails with her and her staff, and that was about it. I was divorced in a matter of a few weeks. Very reasonable cost and absolutely no hassles or hold ups. I'm very satisfied with how everything was handled and I'd be happy to recommend the firm to anyone needing help with an uncontested divorce.

As a dedicated father I found it a struggle with my ex-wife to keep my time with my only son. Ms. Grant was strong and calm and she guided me through a very difficult chapter of life. It felt like Ms. Grant was personally invested in my case. She was always prompt in responding to whatever curve ball was thrown in my case. My son and I are very pleased with the results. He thanks me for fighting for him...and that is invaluable. I just thank Ms. Grant for fighting for me.

I had a tough divorce case. It took a lot longer than I would have liked, but Anneshia was top-notch. If you need a fighter for your case, contact her for sure.

W. Ware Morrison P.L.C.
Very good law firm. My marriage had become a nightmare and my spouse was trying to take everything and leave me nothing. Mr. Morrison did a great job for me in court and got me what I wanted. I have told my friends to hire this lawyer if they need one. And his legal fees were reasonable compared to what I had heard other lawyers charge.
Tips & Advices
Each state has different mandates on how child support is determined. But there are some basic factors that underline how costs are determined in each state, including:
  • Income level of parent that needs to pay support (in the case of joint custody, the costs are determined by income of each party and the percentage of time the child spends with each parent)
  • Financial needs of child
  • Child’s standard of living before the divorce occurred
This is a divorce in which one party does not have to prove that the other’s actions lead to a deterioration of the marriage. The reason for divorce is listed as "irreconcilable differences" or an "irreparable breakdown of the marriage,” meaning the marriage was no longer working and could not be repaired.
Family law attorneys are helpful in cases where the two parties are not on amicable terms. The lawyers can act as intermediaries between the two parties and help them come to any settlement agreements, however long that may take. Lawyers can also help parties navigate tricky state laws regarding settlement agreements and child custody, thus expediting the process.
A contested divorce is one in which the parties cannot agree on either the necessity of the divorce as a whole, or how assets (money, property, etc.) and child custody should be split between them in the divorce. An uncontested divorce is when the parties are in agreement on how assets and child custody will be split between them. These divorces can sometimes be handled without hiring a lawyer.
It is possible for a couple to get a divorce without hiring a family law attorney. If the two parties are in agreement on how finances, child custody, properties, etc., will be split, then they can file the necessary court documents themselves and avoid the services of a lawyer.
