Abbey Road Restaurant
I had dinner here with my tween/teen kids and we really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive waitress, and really good food. We had the marinated steak, blackened Mahi-Mahi, pasta marinara, and a grilled chicken salad - all very good!

Mary's Restaurant
The service and atmosphere are absolutely wonderful. The food is local southern breakfast and lunch, and really hits the spot. Definitely the place to go when you want a good hearty breakfast or brunch that will last through the day.

Dave & Buster's
Went there and they had a 5.00 cover charge for a 4 yr old and 12 year old who was not going to watch a fight. Tried to get a sit to eat. Took nearly 2hrs, however we saw sits that were empty the whole time we waited. They need a better system. We left without eating.

Aldo's Ristorante
Had a great dinner tonight which was our first time. I made a mistake and set reservations for tomorrow not tonight. They said no problem and fit us in on one of the busiest weeks in VB restaurant week!!

Chili's Grill & Bar
I absolutely loved this chilis until I took my children to dinner on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, our orders were taken and that was the last we saw of anyone. My cajun pasta wasn't cooked all the way, since the waitress was nowhere to be seen I had to wait to let her know. When she finally came over she said "are you ok", I told her no because my pasta wasn't cooked and she said "oh well so do you want me to bring you a new one". I was irritated at this point because my children were already done with their meals so I asked if she could have a new one to go. She then for the first time offered refills which we declined. A manager never came to our table so I asked to speak with one and let him know that while this was my favorite chilis, this was the mist horrible experience Id had and all he could say was "I'm sorry" repeatedly. Never once offered anything to make my experience any better. Not even after I told him I would never come back to this location. RIDICULOUS!!!

Waffles & Company
This place was beyond good. It was great! From the friendly greeting to excellent service to amazingly delicious food. All reasonably priced and home made. Next time we are in Virginia Beach we WILL go there again. It's a hidden treasure not to be missed for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Nick's Diner
Hi this is Gloria. My husband and I use to eat inNick's a lot (every Sunday after church). I coined the term use to because after eating there on Friday we will never go back. I have never experienced anything like that before. Hopefully restaurant managers and owners will grasp this advice. First of all, new waitresses need to be trained. Second, they need to know that disgruntle customers leave bad tips or don't tip a all. Let's define a disgruntle customer - one that food is cold, their nuts on the waffle is old and smelly, and there is no restitution or retribution offered by cook, manager or waitress. This was my experience at Nick's on Friday. I paid 15.00 for a breakfast that consisted of an over cooked waffle with stale, smelly and old nuts. I sent the food back and started to walk out, but I stayed because I was hungry and really wanted breakfast. I could have done better at McDonald's down the street. I saw the waitress whisper to the owner and he hushed her. I left her a dollar tip, but I was tempted not to leave anything. Normally, I would leave at least two or three dollars, but not this time. I am hoping that the owner at the dinner will read this and realize that he lost a local and a regular. Since, my spending money is not valued there we have decided to frequent on Sunday mornings the dinner on Indian River Road in Chesapeake across from McDonald's. They have great food and we always have the same waitress (Ozza) that gives us hot food and good service. Please share with waitresses that if they allow the cook to give them anything that looks and taste any old kind of way the customer is going to charge that to your tip. The cook is being paid by salary and not a waitress tip, even though he can affect the tip. I worked my way through college in New York at Bloomingdale's. I learned that in order to get good tips presentation, mannerism, service and taste will get you good tips. This concludes my review (gbp82002@yahoo.com).
