Royal Palm Auto Repair Inc
I give this auto repair place 5 stars for multiple reasons. My mom and I both go to Royal Palm Auto because we are always satisfied with their work. A mechanic named John always takes very good care of us. He's a very honest man who likes to educate his customers on whatever the issue is and explain in detail exactly what he is doing. His pricing is very reasonable and we always feel like we get more than our money's worth. This is the most trustworthy mechanic on the Treasure Coast and I wouldn't consider taking my vehicle anywhere else. I would highly recommend John at Royal Palm Auto Repair to anyone who would like an honest, reasonable mechanic who can fix your problems quickly.

I have been dealing with Royal Palm for close on 20 years. Have recommended him to many and all were satisfied. Just the other day my car had a problem on the weekend, but he is closed. I brought it to one of those "chain shops" and got an estimate for 439.23, Ouch. Fortunately they could not find the parts they wanted on a weekend and said to bring back Monday and leave for a day or two. Monday morning I went to Royal Palm and after hoisting and inspecting, he solved the problem with one part, and out the door for less than 100.00.. He is good and knows his stuff. for my money and many others I know, he can't be beat. Try him and you will see.. A happy camper.

SpadaS Total Auto Repair
Nobody asked me to write this review but Ron Spada deserves the good publicity. Have you ever had a mechanic that you honestly believe is telling you everything you need to know about your car? Someone that when you drop your it off, you don't feel the need to collect the loose change because deep down, you really don't trust them not to steal it. Ever wonder whether the mechanic has the experience necessary to actually fix the problem and isn't learning how to on your car and at your expense? Spada's Total Auto is honest, reliable, experienced and reasonably priced. Thanks Ron! Chris C.

European Performance & Repair
Crazy expensive. $96.00 for an oil change on a 4cyl VW 2.0T. We also had a diagnostic done for a check engine light, was not given a print out and only after requesting the information was given a code and part number that was very vague and pretty much useless. So we pretty much paid $250.00 for an oil change. In addition to the charge for the oil change and the diagnostic, an additional $7.00 was added for "shop supplies" The guys are nice enough and I'm sure they know what they are doing, however, we will not be going back with either of our VW's.

Quick Decision Automotive
They were very courteous, the shop and lobby area are very clean. The quote they gave me was exactly what the final charge was. I received quotes from other shop's and they had the best price. They had my car ready when they said it would be, none of this sitting for hours just to be told they had not started on it yet. I did not feel like they tried to up sale me repairs I did not need.I will give all my business to them.

Superior Auto Service
Having read two poor reviews, have to say something. We have been taking our cars to Bill for the last 20 years. Not necessarily the cheapest, but always honest and dependable. His wife, for instance, suggested that rather than repairing our 12 year old car this week, we should consider getting another- Nice to be able to count on his family not only for necessary repairs but also balance advise.

I have been bringing my car to John for a few years. He is one of the best mechanics I have ever known. Being a woman, it is very hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. When I bring my car in with a problem, he tells me exactly what needs to be done, with a fair estimate to repair it. I recommend him often.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
