YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Perfect. Right right inside the Venice Inlet. Directly across from the North Jetty Fish Camp on the South end of Casey Key FL. Swimming distance from Snake Island the local swimming spot for boaters and kayakers. The facility including docks are in great shape with a pump out and gas dock right there. Walk about 100 feet for lunch or dinner in the Crows Nest restaurant. Anther option is to walk out to the west end of the jetty wall and watch the people, boats surfers, and water or hit the Venice beach right there at the jetty. It couldn’t be better or more scenic. I put in my kayak, “Jeannie H” an 18 foot white Kevlar sea touring kayak, in at the North Jetty and paddle all around this incredibly beautiful area. The Intra Coastal Waterway, ICW, is right here heading either North to Sarasota, FL. or South to Boca Grande, FL.

The food is okay, but I never understand why people rave about it. IMHO it is greasy, a bit unremarkable, and inconsistent. There is little pride in the food served, and the kitchen seems infestd.

We live near by and heard the singer after walking the beach and decided to have a drink and listen the singer. At one point we couldn't find our waitress for 10-15 minutes. We were looking to order another round of drinks and some food. When we ordered a second drink for Happy hour the manager said we were 10 minutes too late and wouldn't honor the Happy hour price. The waitress said it was only a difference of 25 cents? If so, what kind of break is that for a Happy hour and secondly, the manager wouldn't spring for the 25 cents. So something didn't add up with that statement. The chicken Cesar wrap had too much dressing in it and just about poured out of the wrap. My wife's tuna tasted like liquid milk. They did say is was frozen and not fresh but it still shouldn't have been that bad.

They flat out have the best oysters in Sarasota. They also have shrimp, clams, mussels, crawfish, and crab legs. They serve beer, wine, and liquor. Smoking is allowed. Great atmosphere, especially if you have a sense of humor.

Juniors is a good place to go and dance, the music at times is not that good for anyone over 25, it depends on the DJ. The crowd is normally a mixed crowd but for the most part it's a young crowd. I would like to see them attract a middle aged crowd.

If you like music, it's worth a visit or two. Some bands are fun, but bands repeat far too often. Drink prices are fair, good bartenders. Its got that Sarasota clique thing going though, so don't get discouraged.

We did not dine in the restaurant; however, sat in the open bar overlooking the bay for two hours one afternoon. Was a wonderful experience. Service friendly. Ordered the spinach/artichoke dip and quesadillas...both were excellent. The beer was icy cold and served in icy mugs...great for a warm afternoon.

The Red Barn is definetly a local hangout. Don't let the word 'dive bar' get you down. On weekends, the crowd starts filling in after 12. The people are fun. You don't have to worry what to wear, people are dressed up and others wearing jeans. The bartenders are very prompt although the bar is swamped. They are some of the best tenders in the area.

The best spot on the circle. The Lynch Sisters have created the perfect ballance between a comfortable Pub atmosphere and family dining. The food is always good and the service is excellent. The bar there is a great place to enjoy conversations with Ethna and Chris (the owners) and to meet locals and visitors to Sarasota. It is the perfect spot to just stop in for a quick beverage, or to drop by late in the evening for a nitecap or some great desert and coffee. We have been visiting their place for years and have never been disappointed with anything. If you have a craving for Irish Stew or Cork Cottage Pie, you have to go there! It is the ""Cheers"" bar on St Armans!
