The happy hour menu is so phenominal, that I go there about 3-4 times a week to indulge. The staff is ultra professional and friendly. \r \r Must haves on the HH menu are the steak bites, burger, crab cake, potato skins. They also make a mena mojito. \r \r Simply the best HH I've ever experienced. I wouldn't trust any other place for my HH but Ringside.

El Gaucho is one of the most awesome restaurants I've had the pleasure of dining at. It is top notch in all respects. Both the Chateaubriand and the Bananas Foster (specifically prepared by Sherwood) have both won multiple James Beard awards, which means they are the best in the nation. The staff is completely professional and the service is top drawer. I have been eating here for years and I always take my out of town business associates here for dinner. It's amazing that over the years the quality of both the food and the service has been rock solid every single time. The El Gaucho team never disappoints.

I love Jo Bar! I can't believe this place doesn't get more recognition. Not only is the food delicious, but the prices, consdiering the location and product quality, is great. \r \r They have a great happy hour from 3-6 which has a fantastic selection. They serve everything from their well known burger to clams and tuna tartar. A good deal of vegetarian items too... always a must in this town!\r \r They have yummy cocktails too, and a wine list that is impressive. The ambiance is perfect; quaint, friendly, posh, yet not at all snobby.\r \r I've always found the service to be top knotch. The servers are knowledgable, friendly, and professional. I've never had an issue with any part of service at Jo Bar. \r \r This is most definitely the place I bring my friends from out of town, and my boyfriends parents when they're here. \r \r Stop in, you won't be disapointed!!!

Went to Bill's 3 times. First time we had good burgers, big and tasty. Second time we went early evening and sat in the bar for a beer, planning to order food for take-out. The bartender was pleasant, we were served our beers. Then a waitress or hostess from the restaurant side came over and loaded up the juke box with urban bass ridden music and it was played extremely loud. We watched as paying customers finished their drinks and left. We left without ordering food. The third time we went back during lunch and sat on the restaurant side. I ordered the steak sandwich special. The steak was small, cooked on a flat grill, tough, overcooked and tasteless. It was not a sandwich, came with one piece of toast that squirted margarine flavor when you bit into it. The mashed potatoes were watery and drowned in dark brown fake-tasting gravy. Won't be back again.

No, really. It smells bad. I went to Blackwells because they participate in a program where I get airline miles for dining at certain restaurants. I ordered a sandwich & iced tea before I noticed the odor of an uncleaned bathroom (from across the room). The sandwich was OK, but the tea tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for weeks. When I was done, I tried to get the waitress' attention, but she was too consumed with her drink, her cigarette, and the game of video poker being played by her desperate looking friend to see me. when I finally got her attention, she told me to leave the money on the table. When I explained that I wanted to use my visa and had no cash she told me to keep my money and get the hell out. Needless to say I never got the miles, but I did get a free sandwich and a lousy iced tea.

Amazing! This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is very calming with luxurious decor, conveniently located, and the food is delicious. The entertainment is a perfect complement to the ambiance. The owners were so nice, really welcoming us to their city and their restaurant, as we were visiting portland from boston for the specialty coffee show. Next time I come to portland, this will certainly be my first choice for a re-visit; healthy and tasty food, portions that leave you feeling satisfied, a menu that has something for everyone. I really enjoyed myself, and would advise anyone looking for a quality meal at a reasonable price with wonderful people, good music, and lovely decor to check it out!

The fact that there's only one of these left in Portland worries me. Each time my wife and I go here, we feel like royalty. The food is teriffic, the service is also, and we can always get a semi-private seat, even when it's crowded, which, thankfully, isn't often. The clam chowder is better than most actual seafood joints, and their plain 'ol burgers are fantastic if you're on a budget. My only complaint is if you want the salad bar alone, it's a little expensive, but if you order it with an entree it's cheap. Also super clean, and your bottomless drinks are refilled instantly. When we're on 82nd, we stop here a lot.

I drove for just over half an hour to get to this little joint. The parking is street side on the backside of the main road, which is also where the entry door faces. There are only two full tables, which sit bar height and seat four a-piece, combined with two small chairs in the back corner and a couple of ""bar stool"" seats up front. The heated cabana had more seating, and I'm sure it is pleasant when the heaters are on. We came on an afternoon when it was wet and they had not turned them on yet, although the cabana was fully enclosed with heavy duty plastic sheeting and dry. I'm a cold blooded girl; I need heat. \r The menu is full and varied. They have everything: buffalo burgers, chicken, breakfast on weekends, lunchmeat sandwiches, chili dogs, steak and BBQ on the weekends, tuna, salads, pork Verde burritos, salmon burgers, etc. For such a small building, their menu is a cornucopia of mouth watering temptations.\r I met my hubby here for a lunch ""date"" during the week and was very pleased to see the meat source is well thought out. You will find no meat here, raised in mass produced pens where the cow never sees the light of day. They use humanely raised beef which has no added hormones, or other unnecessary injections. The meat is local to the NW. The man and woman that run this place are efficient; she takes the orders and money and he cooks the food in an open kitchen where you can see everything prepared. \r We ordered two 1/2&1/2's (a mix of pepper jack and cheddar cheese with your burger) with different sides and a cherry pie shake. The shake really is a slice of cherry pie thrown in the ice cream and blended. Needless to say, it's creamed cherry pie alamode. I am not a big fan of pie in general, but this shake is delicious! The house fries have a slight heat that builds as you eat them. They are shoestring, and do not appear to be press formed. Personally, I found them to be very good, even if I ate too much of my shake to finish them all. The burgers are hand formed and not uniform. This is a good thing. When you bite into the fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickle sandwiched between a Kaiser roll (no icky sesame seeds...yah!!) you will taste real meat. This is meat the way it was before the day of industrialized cattle farming. This is texture, taste, and moist deliciousness as it was meant to be enjoyed. This is a burger. Forget what you think you know. Forget all those chain joints popping up everywhere. Even Burgerville's hormone free beef preformed patties can't compete with the quality of this meat. I repeat, if you miss the burgers of years past...when meat was meat...you need to eat at Canyon Grill.\r It was busy while we were there. Our presence was part of the crowd. We hurried up a bit at the end of our meal as we noted an older lady who had arrived and wanted a seat. The doorway/entryway is small, so we bumped a few people trying to get in and out. These are all things that I feel add to the ambience of the mom and pop burger joint though. When a place gets bigger, the service lacks luster. \r Speaking of service, I have eaten out many places in the entire Portland metro area and the two that run this restaurant know how to keep customers coming back. Even when the place was packed with more people showing up, they kept smiling and making the customers feel welcome. The food was clearly made and plated with care. The friendliness of this place on top of the quality of the food will keep me driving over half an hour to return. \r As if the two out of three pluses were not enough, the prices for the food are very reasonable. For both of us to have the 1/2&1/2 burger, tots, fries, a soda and a shake was $16. \r So, Canyon Grill scores a trifecta in my book: excellent food I can feel good about eating, great prices and friendly, efficient service. What more could you ask for? \r For those who may not be familiar, they directly across from the Lexus building in Beaverton, on the tip of the

I would visit Grant's every day if I could afford it (both financially and heathwise). They have a sandwich that I just love. I go for the Cheese Wiz because it gets all mixed in and is very messy. Go for the peppers (they include sweet and hot and if you don't like hot they will just put the sweets on for you). \r \r Also, the prices, for what you get, are very reasonable ($10 for a full sandwich and it comes with a side of their own home made potato chips). Their fries are good too but the portion of fries if you order one is so large that a small is larger than most places' large fries. \r \r If you want a good, tasty sandwich, check out Grant's.

My daughter and I ate here before the ballet at the Keller Auditorium. It was close and we love steak, so thought it a good choice. We loved the presentation of the food, however it was a little daunting not knowing the prices. We ordered steak, each of us, a potato to share, tomatoes with blue cheese dressing, a glass of wine, and a water, and our bill was $260.00. However the tomatoes were huge beefsteak tomatoes with homemade bluecheese that was to die for! The steaks were good, but not worth the price. We saw a collassal shrimp cocktail in the bar, and thought we should have gotten that to share along with the tomatoes and fresh bread and we could have gotten off cheaper and still enjoyed a great meal. The ambience was superb as well as the staff and the attention of the staff. It was a beautiful place to eat. We will definitely go back, but order a bit differently, so it doesn't break the bank! I do believe though that everyone should eat at Morton's at least once in their life! I also have to say I have eaten at a steak house in Seattle, with the same service, ambience, and nowhere near the same price.

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!!\r \r My family and I LOVE this place. The nachos are incredible, the chicken flautas equally good, great burgers, waffle fries are nummy too. The SW Fiesta Chicken Salad - one of my favorites. Husband loves the chicken fried steak, the chicken strips are my son's favorites, my daughter orders kid-sized nachos (tho not listed on the kids menu - just ask for ""Callie's Nachos - they will know!) Perfect place to head after the zoo - it's right around the corner! I personally can't wait for summertime to sit outside on the patio and have a freshly made strawberry marguarita!\r
