Such a great spot. I loved there women's selction. They carried amazing boards at such a great price! I'm a new rider so it was nice to get some good advice, the board i bought came with free waxes, free set up and a 3 year guarantee. Love this place, they also had super cute clothes and great jackets! I'll be back.

I have rented ski's and snowboards from Meadowlark for probably 10 years. I have never had a bad experience. In fact, John has always been friendly and gone out of his way to ensure a good experience. I would highly recommend Meadowlark as an affordable and friendly option for winter gear rentals. The Sandy location (as opposed to the older Gresham location) is really convenient - a quick stop on your way up the mountain and you are on your way!

If I am planning a hike at Dog Mountain or skiing at Mt. Hood, I have been able to find everything I need to outfit my trip. Clayton was fabulous at helping me pick out new boots and skis. My boots fit like slippers. Jeremy and Steve are amazing at recommending climbing and hiking gear. I will definitely return before my next trip out.

My girlfriend and I went on the ross island kayak tour and had a great time. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. It made for a fun afternoon on the water and look forward to doing it again

This store has everything and do a lot of window shopping here. I usually go to their outlet stores and buy my jackets there. It is nice to support a local outdoor giant.

I can say that this store is such a great local shop with some amazing sale prices. They are full of arcteryx inventory (unlike REI who sells most ""online only"") They have a reasonable return policy and will exchange something if it is just not a great fit! The employees remembered me and gave excellent service... and trust me... I am no professional climber/hiker/skiier. Another perk is that anything that is on their website is in store. That is so unique! Any day I would rather support a local business. I would reccommend going just to check it out, you'll love the small shop atmosphere.

This is the place to buy snowboards in Portland. They have an awesome selection of my favorite two brands Lib Tech & Burton Snowboards!

I have been going to Gorge Performance for years now, and they always have what I am looking for. Housed in an building that looks like it should be on a beach somewhere, is literally the candy store of toys for all the vacations I wish I could take. The employees are always centered with the mellow, surf style attitude that you would want to see in your shop. They are genuinely stoked for you when you buy that new board or shirt or whatever, as opposed to being happy about making a sale. GREAT PLACE ALL AROUND! Keep up the good work.

Hillcrest Ski and Sports was founded back in the winter of 1976 by Dexter Hill. In the beginning Hillcrest only carried ski gear. For the first ten years the store was simply open during the winter season and closed for summer. In 1985 Hillcrest expanded into the snowboard industry by bringing Burton gear into the store. By 1986 Hillcrest was open year round and had a larger variety of sporting goods. Hillcrest had begun carrying water skis, running gear, skateboards and much more. Our most recent endeavor is online at www.hillcrestsports.com where we offer competitive rates, a variety of products and great customer service! Our mission for our customers is to receive helpful and friendly service from us so they come back for all their sporting needs. Everyone working at Hillcrest is passionate about helping our customers get into the proper gear at a great price so they can have an awesome time shredding the mountain, ripping on the water, or throwing down on the pavement!

I went in to fix a bent axel on my bike. When you walk in you can barley move there is so much junk everywhere. After standing around for 10 min I was helped. They replaced the wheel and then put the old sprocket and axel back on from the broken wheel. Trusting that they did their job a paid and went home. The next day I went to put it on my bike and found that nothing had been fixed and all I had was a new wheel. When I went back to complain the guy said he gave me all new parts and that I was lying and had broken it over a bump. Now I am out 70$

I purchased my xc skis from Otto's, they are very helpful and knowledgable. As a beginner last year, I had a lot of questions and the owner spent as much time as I needed helping me, fitting me and educating me. I recommend them to everyone and I like to support local business. I found my skis on sale so I got a great deal. I don't think they are any more spendy than other places. Let's face it fun sports cost money and good equipment is worth the cost. They have a great selection of rental equipment and regular stock. I have rented from them for 5 years before I started purchasing my own quipment.
