Pete's Foreign Otto Shop
Great service at a fair price. My wife and I were traveling home from Florida to St. Louis in our BMW X3, when we broke down on the interstate 30 miles south of Valdosta. We did an internet search, and decided to take a chance on Pete's Otto. I'm so glad we did.Tiger (the owner) sent a wrecker to get us, and it was there within an hour. He took our car in immediately (and was obviously busy with many BMWs, Mercedes, Land Rovers and Porches in his shop). He gave us an estimate (I expected to pay at least $1,000 - it was $435 including the tow). I verified with my friend in the auto repair business that this was a more than fair price. Tiger had us back on the road within two hours. Tiger also let us use his personal vehicle to go get some lunch while the repairs were being done.I am so glad that there are still some businesses that treat people right. He could have easily taken advantage of our situation (we were at his mercy), but he didn't. He knows we won't be back, because we live out of the area. He just treats people right.

Pete's Foreign Otto Shop
I was pleasantly pleased with my experience at Pete's Foreign Otto Shop. Everyone that I interacted with was very polite and helpful. Fortunately, I didn't need anything major fixed (my Volvo's message center was telling me it was due for maintenance...even though I had all the routine maintenance done just four weeks ago prior to moving here from Wyoming). I also had a bulb that needed to be replaced that I couldn't do on my own because the air filter's housing unit was in the way (and needed a special tool to unhook the clips to remove the unit and get access to the bulb). The gentleman that helped me (I don't recall his name but I believe it was Andy/Andrew....something with an "A") reset the message, checked to make sure there weren't any other codes that needed to be addressed, and replaced the bulb right away. He had me on my way faster than I anticipated. I will definitely be back if I have any future issues with my vehicle. Thanks Pete's Otto!!!

Gary's Automotive Repair
I was broke down in an RV on I 75 near Valdosta Ga. On a Saturday evening. Everything closed . Good Sam club said I'd have to wait till Monday to get any service done. A guy stopped to pick up something that blew off his jeep. Said he might know someone and would give him my number and drove off. Never really expected to hear anything. Travis from "Gary's automotive" called later, came to the rv park where we were towed and had repairs done in less than an hour, including going after the parts himself! ( camshaft timing sensor). Very professional, courteous and all round good guy. Left his family after dinner to come save our vacation. Thanks Travis! You too Rodney

Pete's Foreign Otto Shop
I am Tiger Berard. The owner of Pete's Otto. I would like to defend the accusations made by Brandeb S, as being totally wrong. Brenden tried to get his car back in our shop at a later date, for additional repairs through a friend of his. I instructed this person of this claim on YP, and agreed to work on his car again. With the agreement that I could explain my side of the story with him. I never received a call from Brenden. We are honest and pride ourselves in doing quality repairs. Brenden, you are still welcome to call me at any time. Thanks Pete's son Tiger Berard

Motion Wheels Hubcaps & Tires
I have had a great experience with Motion Wheels. My son is in college and we live almost 4hrs away. I called this morning to see if they had the size tires that my son needed. They weren't in stock but I was able to get them ordered and put on all in the same day. The price beat the 5 other places that I called in Valdosta. I am very satisfied with the service and kindness I received. I would recommend Motion Wheels.Thank you so much for all that you did to make this as easy as possible when conducting business over the phone. I greatly appreciate it!

Walker's Auto Repair
My truck wouldn't turn over when I tried to crank it. I just put a new battery in and it didn't sound like the starter. When she had her Tech look at she thought it would take them two days to fix it. I told her that I need to get back home, 2.5 hours away, before tomorrow. She kept the opened an extra hour after they were suppose to close. Once I got there to pick it up Mrs Judy walked me through the receipt and the Tech showed me exactly what he did. I felt the price was fair and the service was great. Thank you Mrs. Judy for getting me home.

Walker's Auto Repair
Walker's Auto has gone above and beyond for me as a customer and for that, Im a loyal customer. Their prices are lower than anyone and they have excellent customer service. I have been a customer since 2010 and I always gladly recommend them when I speak about auto repair. They actually treat you like family instead of customer. I leave there calling them by their name feeling like a friend instead of a customer. If you need repair, go there!!!

Walker's Auto Repair
I drove in from out of town and noticed that my car was making a tapping sound. We googled an auto repair shop in Valdosta and chose Walkers Auto Repair thanks to all of the good reviews. They absolutely lived up to their reputation. Ms. Judy fit us in first thing in the morning. The mechanic was friendly and solved my problem right away. It's nice to actually be provided with trustworthy service nowadays. I highly recommend!

Walker's Auto Repair
Walker's had the best customer service that I've ever seen in Valdosta Ga. The owner was very patient and kind with me and even gave me a ride to work since it was going to take awhile for my car to get fixed. I definitely recommend Walker's Auto Repair for anyone who is looking for good car service and even better customer service from the manager. I will absolutely be giving them my business from now on!
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
