Southern Skin And Wellness Center
Dr. Ambrozic is outstanding, and the medical techs, nurses, and office staff are fabulous! I had the pro-lipo done, and I was so happy that I sent my husband six of my girlfriends to have it done too! It was such an easy recovery and as a mom of two young boys, that was critical in my decision to go this route for my loose abdominal skin. Additionally, I have had Rachael begin my laser tattoo removal and the results have been beyond my expectations!! Miss Kat seems to be the docs right hand woman and she is the most compassionate and understanding woman and understands that the physical conditions I have been seen for also impact my confidence and security as a does everyone else there. Miss Donna is totally empathetic and quick with a hug and box of tissue when you breakdown! Dr. Ambrozic has a great bedside manner and even if he isn't treating you personally, he makes a point to check in on your progress and I think that that is really cool. I recommend this center for anyone with a skin condition, weight management, tattoo removal, mole removal, skin tightening, or whatever else you can think of that they provide.

Love, love, love Dr. Thacker,. She is very attentive and listens well. Our wait to go back was not too long and everyone was very patient with my two young children. The staff was very helpful and efficient. They really knew what they were doing and knew my insurance particulars. Really grateful she is in Valdosta!

Cosmetic dermatology is a specialization of the field, which focuses on a person's appearance.
See a dermatologist if you have recurring problems with your skin, hair, nails or mucous membranes, or for any concerns about cosmetic appearance. Medicare patients will likely pay 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount if the health care provider covers dermatology for a medical skin condition.
Dermatology tends to be covered by insurance if it is deemed a "medical necessity." The amount of coverage and cost depends on the specific health plan.
There is such a thing as a pediatric dermatologist--medical professionals who treat children from birth through adolescence - usually for skin conditions most common in younger patients. Regular dermatologists can also work with children of various ages.
Dermatologists can perform biopsies, dermabrasion, hair removal, laser surgery, cosmetic injections (like Botox), Mohs surgery for skin cancer, skin grafts, vein therapy, and chemical peels, to name a few.
