Modern Auto Crafters
So I recently spoke with the owner, Pete about my compliant. He told me he would reimburse me for my lost wages but then went on to tell a lie. He did apologize for the lack of communication but went on to say how he was the reason I did not have to pay charges. He claimed the insurance company said it was "my fault" and weren't going to pay him. I have full coverage, uninsured motorist and roadside assistance. Don't add insult to injury by lying or just not admitting your wrong so you can cover yourself. So I called back to let him know I he was lying. He wasn't there but the lady who told the wrong info. to begin with called back. Talking to me like I was beneath her of course and basically said it was my fault and my insurance companies fault AGAIN when she is the one who screwed up. She even admitted she screwed up when she told me my tags were tags were out of state which is why the rule did not apply. Learn how to say sorry and mean it with no excuses.

Marshall Auto Sales & Repair
This is a great place to get your car repaired. They treat with you respect and are prompt. They have a nice clean waiting area where you can wait for you car. Typically if you drop by lunch time, they offer you some of their lunch. They believe in caring and respecting one another. You don't see this type of atmosphere nowadays. They also do car inspections and sell cars. Their cars are in good conditions. One thing I have learned coming here is that this place makes sure to offer you the best price rather in repairs or when they sell a car. They care to the point where they want to make sure their customers can afford the bill and they are able to make some profit to stay functional.

McCullough's Auto Repair
30+ years with McCullough's and I wouldn't go anywhere else! McCullough's staff are well trained and work hard to always get your car fixed the first time. Never any issues. Honest and reasonable. As a woman, I was use to male mechanics talking to my husband about my car but McCullough's doesn't do that. They want me to know what's going on.

Marshall Road Auto Repair Inc
Absolutely disgraceful. I've had to work with towing companies in the past and never have been treated as such. They treat you with such disregard and disrespectful attitude. I only hope that they treat there cars better than they do the people.

Vinny's Complete Auto Repair
DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP FOR ANY WORK.I just had a horrible experience with this Auto Shop. Three weeks ago I was in an accident on Marshall Road, someone backing off from the hardware store and hit me. Needless to say my car was damaged badly. The cops pushed my car into Vinny's auto. They felt they hit the lottery. It was a very big job. I did not want them to do the work but without my permission they took my car apart, when I found out and went to pick up my car, it was disassembled even after a big argument, I ended up leaving the car upon Matt's assurance and re-assurance and asking me to give him a chance. I was frustrated and gave in. After more than two weeks, I got a called that my car was ready to pick up. I went to pick up my car body work looks satisfactory, after payment I drove off, The 1st thing I felt was a very strong vibration driving my car. I turned around and went back to the shop, I told them the problem and they said "o it would go away after some driving, drive a few days if it continue bring it back and we'll take care of it". Two three days later I went back because not only the vibration got worst the dashboard lights were also dead. This time they had the nerve to tell me its not accident related its because of normal wear and tear of Brakes, rotors and bushing. They don't do this work and I should go somewhere else. Now, mind you I had absolutely no problem with my car prior to the accident. However, I'd say maybe brakes needed to be replaced but no rotors were needed. They are so horrible as a business I would not recommend this shop to anyone. If you're so desperate to get something done, do it yourself but DO NOT GO TO VINNY'S AUTO SHOP.Stop going to this shop so they end up closing. This type of businesses should not be in operation.

Don't waste your money by going to this place. This place has a very poor at diagnostics and problem solving skills. I went to him because people said he's good on what he's doing but my problems still persist after I went to him so I gave up and goes somewhere else to get the job done correctly. Basically, I paid for 2 labors for the same work because he got half a job done so I went to another place to pay for the same labor. Do some research first to save your money.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
