SKVK Construction & Roofing, llc
During the first half of 2016, this company did three jobs for me. One was a 9,500 SF commercial building with a flat tar & gravel roof. SKVK recommended a complete tear off a replacement with a TPO roof. The second was a 10,200 SF commercial building with a metal roof. SKVK recommended a complete tear off and replacement with a heaver gauge metal sheet roof. Both commercial jobs were in the 61st & Garnette area of Tulsa. The third job was my home in Owasso. SKVK recommended a complete tear off and replacement with a top quality Heritage shingle. The workmanship was top notch, the job sites were kept clean. The jobs were completed quickly and on time. The communication was excellent and the price was VERY Competitive. Based on my experience, I would recommend SKVK to anyone desiring a cost effective and hassle free contractor experience.

Zio's Italian Kitchen
We order carry-out once/twice a week and have been satisfied with the food. However, on 06/19/13 I went inside rather than wait for the food to be brought to my vehicle and discovered the clerk wrapping bread in foil holding the bread with her bare hands without washing her hands between food handling and taking money. I called it to her attention and she said they always use bare hands. I asked her to use the foil to hold the bread and she became very agitated but finally wrapped one out of three without touching with bare hands. The bread was under the counter and the clerk wrapped it instead of being handled in the kitchen. I called the manager to report this, he apologized but didn't offer to correct my order. If this happens in the carry-out area, I shudder to think what happens in the kitchen. WE WILL NOT RETURN!

B & H Contractors
As we were pulling in the driveway to go into our home he has blocked off out access to our house. We go around in front of him to pull into our driveway and he then pulls up and blocks us off more. He then gets out of his vehicle and threatens us by trying to physically fight. Then another man says we are in the wrong by trying to pull into our driveway and proceeds to call us ridiculous. We back up and let the contractor out and as he's driving away he flips us off. Not one of the men were professional. Not happy.

Carrabba's Italian Grill
This place was absolutely wonderful. We came in on 1/10/17 on our way to a doctors appointment. We realized while waiting for our food that we may not make it to our doctors appointment and asked the waiter If we could leave and then come back and get our meal. He agreed and we did. They saved our order and when we came back they seated us, told us they'd put our order back in and brought us our sane drinks from earlier. Plus the food was awesome! Definitely recommend. Thanks so much!

Was in this evening and it was good but 2 heavy women that were employed there were in a spat Kind of a turn off in a public place, The guy taking orders looked like a meth user all pimples on face. Prices a little high for this part of town I over all found food very good and hope it stays most places are good at first then slide down.

The Villas At Yorktown
I have lived her for 4 years and it is by far the best apartments I have lived in. They have a full maintenance staff so work orders are done in a day or so. If your AC goes out they will come out even if it's 9pm at night. The neighborhood is usually quiet and the staff are all friendly. I'm not going anywhere soon....

Mamasota's In & Out
I actually thought it was pretty tasty. They have real homemade tortillas. Received it in a plastic zip lock bag that kind of threw me off for a restaurant. Also their salsa is green not red. The Avocado Ranch was delicious. I would recommend that to anyone. Very generous portions as well. I would eat there again.

Mamasota's In & Out
Great chicken enchiladas, rice and beans. Service has always been friendly and efficient, at the old location and now at this new one at The Farm Shopping Center. We like restaurants with local owners. The atmosphere at the new restaurant at The Farm is nice. We like to sit near the fireplace when it's cold out.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.

Just a moment...
