Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen
Had my first eat out at CHEDDAR’S today, the atmosphere comfortable and pleasant despite the overcrowded waiting list that filled the doors and out into the parking lot. A waiting list for over an hour, but well worth it for this being my first visit. I want to thank my wife and stepson for taking me there and of course, LIZ our server who was very attentive, helpful, and courteous, had a passion for her job, and our desires as customers. Thank you LIZ. It did not take long from the time we placed our order until the food reached our table hot and delicious. Reasonably priced for the portions received, quality of food was outstanding. As a meticulous eater, I chose to test their skills in the kitchen as well as on the floor and was not disappointed. I had a new dish on the menu, which was the Braised fall-apart Pot Roast over mashed potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery, a Cesar salad with a fresh restaurant made croissant, a buttery flaky viennoiserie bread roll. The roll I must say was superb. WOW! At first I was skeptical about Pot Roast being on a menu in a well know restaurant, but they knocked this one out of the ballpark. The pulled meat fell apart as advertised on the menu and was so tender it nearly melts in my mouth before having the chance to chew: tasty, tender, tantalizing, and tempting enough for another go-round. Also enticed watching the food of other customers come from the kitchen, the sights, and smells reached my taste buds with intrigue, and having me wanting to try each one as I eyed them, making this a definite return to try something new. My overall experience and recommendation of a place to take family, friends, or for that lunch / dinner out with a loved one makes this a HIGHLY recommended restaurant to frequent should you live here or just visiting. Thank you to all that work at the CHEDDAR’S Casual Café 10708 E 71st St, Tulsa, OK 74133 (71st & 169 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) incredibly good food there.

Arnie's Bar
This bar is not for you if you do not like small hole in the wall bars, a lot of people and loud music. If you do, and this is actually what you are looking for, then this IS most definitely your style of bar!!! It would be safe to say to get there early because you do not want to be stuck in back, in a booth, where you cannot even view the band if you are actually there to SEE the band play. It is VERY loud when the band plays (extremely difficult to converse with another person) so be prepared! I tend to like places like this but do not frequent them. I can only take them in smaller doses as I am older but their aren't only young people who hang out there. I am in my mid 40's and seen people older than I am there. The staff was very nice and was there for us all of the time asking us if we needed another round. However, we were also sitting up at the bar and only got the two seats since two people were leaving as we arrived up at the bar. If the timing hadn't been perfect the seats would have been taken in seconds. The front part of this bar is smaller with a lot of seating in the back room but even that gets crowded. Anyhow, if you love loud music by a good local band and cold beer, you will really enjoy this place. I had a blast the three times that I have been there. One night they did not have a band and it was not as fun. I go there basically to have some cold beers and listen to good live music.

Crow Creek Tavern
I am actually shocked that I am the only reviewer so far. This place is awesome! I love the outdoor seating and the atmosphere altogether. It is nice going here on a warm summer evening, sitting on the patio and seeing the Harley's lined up outside. I tend to like this type of thing. They have good appetizers, bands that start later on in the evening and cold beer. I have been here a few times with a friend of mine who is a biker and we have always had a good time. The atmosphere is laid back, fun and relaxing. The word "tavern" does not quite fit the type of place that it actually is, in my opinion. The staff is exteremely helpful and friendly and they are always there at your table to check on you even when you are outdoors. Our waitresses at each visit have always gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. This is my favorite place in Brookside to go for some cold beer and a good conversation with someone who is fun to be around.

Brothers Houligan
This place is awesome but fills up quickly on the weekends. If you want to get a seat quickly you need to go earlier as there is always a waiting list. I have been here for drinks first ands then to eat too. The bar area also fills up quickly too. The place is not very big and many people go here as it really is pretty popular. Their chicken fried steak is out of this world, so go with a big appetite. I love this place and the atmosphere. The wait staff has always been friendly and helpful too for as many people as that place can accomodate and as busy as they get. The wait is well worth it to me everytime. I have waited from 10 to 45 minutes the times that I have gone.

Palace Cafe
LOL that guy must not have been able to afford his bill. This restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Tulsa, and the menu is always innovative and fresh. Also if you are vegetarian or on another special diet, just ask and the chef can whip up something truly amazing to make you palate dance. The flavors are always fresh and delicious, and the ingredients are locally sourced when possible. The prices are right on par with the quality and service that you'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. If you want an idea of what to expect, get a breakfast burrito from them at the Cheery Street Farmer's Market Saturday mornings; that is if they haven't sold out yet...

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen
We were a group of eight on a Sunday evening 8 PM. After a forty minute wait we were seated at a very cramped table meant for six. The food is served on small plates in smaller portion sizes (thanks for that two spoon full macaroni portion). The steaks were cooked to order (a miracle around this area) but lacked seasoning. The chicken was also devoid of all flavor save that of the catfish they fried in the same oil some time ago. My baked potato had so much dry rot i thought it may burst into dust at any second. For the $110 bill i would have expected much better food. Next time I'd rather spend $20 at Popeyes and actually have enough to eat.

Crow Creek Tavern
The only reason I gave four stars instead of 5, is simply because of the parking. You are lucky to get a spot on Brookside. There is, however, more parking behind the building in an empty lot. Kot the safest place at night, but it is what it is! The four stars are awarded for their lively environment, friendly staff, and the phenomenal char-grilled burgers. On Tuesdays they are 4$, and if you are a Goldie's fan, well, let me just say they give them a run for their money!! Crow Creek is also a great place to enjoy outside seating, and they have live entertainment for nightlife as well. It is always a treat to go to Crow Creek!!

Gray Snail Saloon
This is not my most favorite place to go for drinks on Cherry Street but I do still like it. I am not crazy about sitting inside as it gets very loud and crowded. It is fun to sit on the patio and have drinks on a summer evening though. The patio is huge and accomodates many. This is a good place to start out if you are planning on going to several places down Cherry Street as the night progesses. The staff is friendly and waits on you frequently even if you are sitting out on the patio rather than indoors.

Charlie Michell's Modern Pub
HUmmm... welll, Charlie Mitchells used to be good then got bad service and food quality and closed down.....the reopening of Charlie Mitchells was much antisapated...and well.... they need to spark it up...the cheese bread was always a favorite in the past........ and its a a bit different than it was... but ,still good. Most the food need a boost to better taste. Would like to see them succeed...so they just need to but sure the quality and service stays up to do so.

The Cheesecake Factory
We just left there....it's Saterday night and we just waited 2 1/2 hours for a 1 1/2 wait. The lady lied to us and seated another group in front of us. We don't have a Cheesecake Factory in our town so we eat a this restaurant every chance we get. I am very disappointed at the service we received. We may not ever return. all 16 of us will be giving this same review. We are very very disappointed in the way we were treated.

Just a moment...
