If I told my best friend about this place, I'd say that: These people are professional, But as professional as they are, they are compassionate, with PEOPLE TOO. We had a dog , and he was a sickly dog, his whole short life. We loved him very , very much. All the front people were Always so helpful to us, and kind to our Dog. We had to put him down after five years.I was so upset, every day, and I called Dr. Wendy and said "Dr. It would be easier to think about saying goodbye to him if I knew that I was going to see him again, but I don't know fpr sure that Dogs go to heaven", and she replied, in her calm, kind, and tender way, "You will see him in heaven, I know for sure you will." Having that conversation made it a little easier to face this difficult situation. They are members of our family, Dogs, and Cats and all the animlas we love.. I want to say that the day we were to put him back into the hands of our creator, Dr. Wendy, and one of the girls came in the room with us, it was very comforting to have another member of staff in there as well. When Dr. Wendy Salis administered the "Pink" serum, Dylan growled at the assistsnt that was helping, (W laughed, because he was thinking I guess, that she was the one who gave him that first little pinch. They gave him just enough to relax , so that we could say goodbye, and then when she put the rest into him, Both Dr. Wendy, and the girl helping wept alongside us, it was so good to have that compassion there. Thank you for taking such good care of our Dylan -Dog, (As Dr. Wendy would refer to him over the years). At Cedarwood, they treat your beloved family member with dignity, (like you do at home). and they are so consoling for when there are any problems. After Dylan (our dog) passed away, I clle the office a couple of times in my grief just to hear Dr. Wendy say that he is in a better place, and No longer suffering. It is still hard, some days, I just want him back. I look forward to the day that I get to to to heaven and there he will be waiting for me with his little tail wagging...I appreciate you all At Cedarwood...Thank you! Momma Stone, and Bill.

Vision Motorsports
My name is Lamarr and I shopped online for a Land Rover that I also made a special trip for of over 700 miles Based on the description; Chris the owner, of Vision Motorsports had given me. When I reached the dealership, I found the Rover to be just as he said. I was pleased to see that my investment of time and expense was justified on the words of the owner. Chris and Louis were both accurate, professional and even boldly friendly. Yet be warned Vision Motorsports is not a hack shop, its not a thrift store or flea market thus you shouldn't expect to bargain Vision Motorsports out of profitability like at some eastern bazaar. The automobiles found there are already at a very good and/or exceptional value. I would thank all potential customers to come to this dealership with cash in hand and a sound mind. Those who don't are likely to confuse a sound dealership like V.M.S. with something less then emote publicly what one could not express in real time at the dealership. Unfortunate that some resort to this kind of retail-blackmail if one doesnt get one's way. My experience at V.M.S. was such that I bought a second car (cooper mini) that same day. Thanks again guys at Vision Motorsports!

Sheridan Road Veterinary Clinic
These Doctors and all the staff really love each and every animal that comes in. They are informative, take the time to answer every little question I had. I had a lot of questions. I have four animals two dogs and two cats. One of my dogs contracted parvo (cringe) They took her straight back, put her in their hospital, and treated her. The cost was a lot. However it was less then every one else and they TRUSTED me to pay it out!!!! NO ONE DOES THAT ANY MORE.So I made darn sure not to betray that trust.I adopted a dog from the SPCA, come to find out the animal was sick. Dr. Applebaum worked with me to help figure out her illness as it was a difficult one. He finally cured her and he did not charge me a fortune for all the tests that it took to get her cured. My animals mind them better then they do me. I have since moved away from the area, but make the drive out of the way simply because they are so good. Being the animal lover that I am and having used many of the more well known vet clinics around Tulsa I can tell you this place is truly a dream come true. The prices are totally reasonable and the care is phenomenal. I cant say enough good stuff about them.

Poteet, Robt W
I have been using Cedarwood for about 25yrs. Starting when the office was still on 11th street in a small strip mall called Cedarwood. Have never used another vet since then. They are fantastic! Caring, compassionate but professional. They have taken wonderful care of our many animals over the years. Because I help with animal rescue I have been to a few other vets over time for that purpose. Have never found any of them to be anything other caring & generous but in my book you can't beat Dr Poteet & Dr Wendy. When a puppy we got was found to have distemper, we were crushed thinking he would have to be put to sleep. But I decided to try to nurse him through it, so they supported my decision & were there when I needed help. Dr Wendy went as far as bringing a neubulizer to our house so I could use it for him! Can't beat that. And by the way, he made it! He is now a somewhat cranky old man at 11! Lol I named him Eli b/c of a discussion I had with Dr Wendy. She had a little girl named Ellie & was pregnant with a son & she liked the name Eli but thought it was too close to Ellie's name. So Eli became Eli. I thank them for everything they do!

I think I've been using Cedarwood for at least three decades. Drs. Poteet and Sales are such caring and dedicated people, along with their staff. Since October, 2016, they have been helping me care for my bully mix, Diamond, my rescue from a northside neighborhood. Diamond and my other two pit bulls had problems adjusting off and on. Right before Thanksgiving Diamond ended up getting her legs badly damaged in a fight (with my other getting some facial damage). The damage was so bad I honestly thought she was going to lose one of her legs. Cedarwood took such great care of her (and me) and she was with them for about two months. She has full mobility and energy once again and also both her front legs. The ladies that work at Cedarwood have been supportive and understanding, all giving me valuable advice. Though I wasn't able to find another adoptive home for her, I now am armed with plenty of information and a new way of working my home situation. These people work so hard every day with lots of clients. Of the two months I had been going by to see Diamond, I think there was only one morning of quiet. Everyone here deserves kudos!

Marina Animal Clinic
I have been with Marina since about April 2011. I had a brand new girl puppy given to me by strangers who told me she was up to date with her shots. She was my first fur baby I'd ever owned. About six weeks later she came down with parvo and I was told by several people I might as well have her put to sleep cause most puppies don't pull through that horrible desease. Someone recomended I try Marina first to see if they could help her. They confirmed she had parvo and said we could try daily injections of a good amount of fluid containing an antibiotic and an anti-nausea medicine. I took her in to their office every morning at 8:00am. On the 4th day she woke me up wagging her tail and showing me the first signs of making it through this. I've been taking my baby girl to Marina Animal Hospital ever since and she has gotten ALL her shots on time every year. I can never thank Marina enough for saving my precious baby girl. I'll never, ever trust anyone but Marina. They're the VERY BEST! Ramona & Nana.

Saltwater Reef Shop Inc
I would honestly say this is one of the nicest, well maintained and highest quality stores i have ever had the privilege of shopping at. I trust the owner with the lives of my fish and coral's, for he has time and time again proven his knowledge and experience with nearly every species of fish. If he doesn't have something, he can usually recommend an alternative that will do the job better (algae control, for example) Seth can assist you with any problem you may run into, and combined with his top-notch livestock, reputable advice and care of the species he tends to, I must say that every visit is a rewarding experience. I would (and do) completely recommend Seth's store to friends, family and strangers alike.

VCA Woodland Central Animal Hospital
Amazing vets who truly care about their clients- the pets and their human owners. Their hours are great; they are open 7 days a week and stay open late. This means I don't have to take off work to take my dogs to the vet. Dr. Henshaw, Dr. Musgrove, and Dr. Beakman are all wonderful. I've taken all of my dogs there for the last 6 years and will always take them there. They will work with you on treatment plans and options if you just let them know what you can afford. I think you still have to be realistic and know that good service doesn't come free and it shouldn't be expected based on the high level of care they provide at the clinic.

Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
