Public Storage
I have been renting storage unit from Public Storage going on three years now I have been at multiple locations but within the last year I have been at the Houghton location and I just think everybody needs to know that the woman that works there full-time her name is Aisha she is very outgoing very friendly she will go above and beyond her job title to help you out as much as possible I can't really say that about the girl that takes her place when she's off. just know that when you go to Public Storage all of their friendly faces specially the one on Tanque Verde and Wrightstown and the location on East Houghton those two locations have the friendliest employees ever and their boss Wes is super generous and a very nice man. I know the public storage is a little bit pricey but with the employees and the generosity and their smiling faces makes up for every bit of the money spent.

Miracle Movers LLC
Miracle Movers were wonderful. We ended up having to do a last minute move, and they were ready, willing and able. Very dependable, fast and super friendly. Customer service is a #1 priority with them. Extremely reasonably priced and no hidden costs or fees or extra hours that you have to pay for....just one flat rate across the board. Handled the heavy furniture and piano with extreme professionalism and made sure everything was done, set up and hooked up correctly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone and would use them again if needed. Thanks, Miracle Movers!

E-Z Move
We were initially scheduled for only 2 people, but I called back to request a 3rd to get it done faster. The 3rd person was worth it. The only break they took was 5 minute in their truck to eat some pizza we bought for them. Other than that, they went from 8:30AM - 6PM non-stop. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped before being loaded on the truck and carefully unloaded. We had a terrible 90 degree bends in our house forcing them to go over our railing. They did this with care. I would hire them again.

3 Gorillas Moving and Storage
3 Gorillas Moving provided timely, excellent, quality service when it became necessary to move my deceased mother's belongings from Tucson to the east coast. They wrapped, packed and transported our belongings with efficiency and sensitivity. My timeframe was very tight and they met me at my convenience every step of the way. I would not hesitate to engage their services and recommend them to you, no matter what items you may need to move. Thank you!!!

Delivery Doctors Movers
These guys were ok but not great. Pros – accurate in-home estimate, almost nothing damaged or broken, unpacking of books, clothing, china cabinet went well. Cons – different crew each day of move, didn’t put all the furniture back together (and lost some hardware), bad (dump job) at unpacking kitchen and bathroom – made more work for me than if I’d unpacked those boxes myself. Overall, they did an average job – some good, some bad.

E-Z Move
They were early, nice, and extremely cooperative. They moved heavy stuff down narrow stairs, got it across town, into our house and even put furniture upstairs that had been downstairs in the old place without any complaints and in very good time. They charge by the hour, but they were working hard the whole time. They weren't the cheapest place online, but they were very reasonable and worth every penny. I highly recommend them.

E-Z Move
I was very impressed and easily would highly recommend these people to handle your move. Our experience was actually enjoyable, considering the stress of any move, in that they had a sense of humor while taking care of packing and unpacking. The additional benefit of receiving a discount that was honored and no overruns on costs was a decided plus. They are well worth it.

E-Z Move
The guys who came to our house, Joseph and Chad, arrived on time, worked diligently and efficiently, were personable and respectful, and were honest (they stopped for lunch and deducted it from the bill). They were also willing to go pick up a new piece of furniture from a store after they moved our existing furniture. No complaints, nice guys, and I'd use them again.

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
