Ames Light & Associates PC
If you want the BEST attorney hire SUSAN LIGHT!!! I have known Susan for 1.5 years. She has represented me on a very difficult/challenging custody case. I have two children and my youngest is fighting spinal cancer. Due to my dire financial situation I temporarily switched attorneys because the petitioner was constantly ordering court appearances I could not afford. This change proved to be very detrimental to my case. The other attorney did a horrible job representing my case and as a result the outcome of my case very damaging. Susan Light heard about my attorney withdrawing from my case & leaving me without proper legal representation. Out of the genuine kindness of her heart Susan Light volunteered to help me & my children. Susan truly cares about her clients. She will fight hard for JUSTICE with integrity and honesty. I learned the hard way that not all attorneys are caring and honest with their clients. Susan is worth every penny! She actually works on your case and cares about every detail. Susan is passionate about acheiving the BEST outcome for her clients and will PROTECT her clients rights. I will ALWAYS recommend Susan my friends, family, and anyone who is in need of the BEST legal representation.

Bridegroom, Bruce, JD
In April my husband and I got to the point of having to file a bankruptcy. We spoke with some friends who we know had filed bankruptcy and they recommended Bruce Bridegroom or Ray Hayes of Bridegroom and Hayes. Prior to going to see Bridegroom and Hayes, I looked them up online and saw some bad reviews. This made us nervous. We called around but ultimately took our friends’ advice as they said that everything had gone well for them. We spoke with Mr. Bridegroom and he could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Everything was done very quickly. We also met with Mr. Hayes in Court at our meeting of creditors. He made us feel very comfortable. He went over everything before we had to go into Court. We were pretty nervous about going to Court and after talking with Mr. Hayes our nerves were calmed. Overall our experience with Bridegroom and Hayes was very good and also quite a bit less expensive than other attorneys I had checked with.

David A. Vasquez, PC
I was referred to the Law offices of David A. Vasquez after a vehicle collision. I was injured, and shook up. Having never been in any type of collision before I was uncertain of what to do next. When Mr. Vasquez evaluated my case he assured me that everything was going to be okay. He went far beyond my expectations! His staff was extremely personable and very professional. I honestly wouldn't trust any other person to represent me if I should ever need it again. When my case went to trial, he knew every aspect if it. The experience and knowledge that Mr. Vasquez has made the whole experience easier. It was truly a pleasure working with Mr. Vasquez and his staff. He is 100% willing to put in whatever work is necessary to get the best possible outcome.

Douglas B. Levy, P.C.
“My husband and I have been friends with Doug’s family for a long time, but this year we’ve had the pleasure of working with Doug on a professional level. My son had a horrible surgery result, causing a great deal of anger and pain for our family. Doug was instrumental in keeping us grounded and moving our case forward. He spent countless hours explaining the law and giving us solid legal advice. He is incredibly knowledgeable, organized, prompt, thorough and honest. If you're looking for a sincere, passionate, realistic lawyer who knows how the law works, I would recommend Mr. Doug Levy to anyone. Thank you Doug, for all you’ve done for our family!"

Bushell Elizabeth D Plc
I am a licensed Real Estate Broker who specializes in short sales. Frequently, my clients have questions or concerns that are best addressed by a knowledgeable attorney. Elizabeth Bushell has worked with many of my clients over the past few years. Her advice has always been right on. She is well-versed in real estate law and with the information she gives my clients, I know whether I should continue to press the banks to give us a better short sale approval. I appreciate someone like Elizabeth who stays current on pertinent issues as that is someone I can count on for good advice.

John Dorris along with paralegal Candice Caroll far surpassed what I could ever hope for in legal counsel. They handled my very difficult divorce with a service member. No matter how busy John was he always got back with me shortly after I called. His out if the box thinking and attention to detail made sure that I received everything I needed in matters of Child support, Alimony and custody. I would highly recommend John Dorris to anyone seeking legal counsel.

Nathan Attorney Leonardo At Law
Nathan is great, I went to an "experienced" old guy first who essential told me to just take the plea, and charged me 15K. I fired him, found Nathan and things worked out significantly better, because Nathan found ways to present the evidence that was quite convincing, and he was less expensive, and he followed through. If you have a DUI, or face Felony charges Nathan is the man for the job.
Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
