I had been nursing a VERY bad sunburn for 4 days already and couldn't move without discomfort and pain. Being a ginger and experiencing many sunburns in my life, I had already been using multiple aloe vera products (gel, lotions, cooling spray) and taking ibuprofen for the pain. I even was using cold compresses, a step that I don't normally need to take when sunburnt. I called ahead of time to ensure that the Minute Clinic could do something more to help me. I did not want to pay to be told to continue what I had already been doing for 4 days. Over the phone, they assured me that they would be able to help by prescribing a medicated ointment or other ways to heal it/ cope with the pain. When I got there, all the nurse did was poke my sunburn, causing me more pain. She then told me there was nothing more they could do. This is specifically what I wanted to avoid!!! I PAID GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH MONEY TO BE PUT THROUGH MORE PAIN FROM HER POKING ME AND THEN RECEIVED NO HELP (AFTER THEY HAD PROMISED THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING)!!!WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.Also, don't bother making an appointment. I was there and signed in 10 minutes before my appointment, and even though there were no other patients being treated, I was taken care of 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.

Horrible experience. This medical office participates in discriminatory practices for any reason during their "pre-approval" paperwork screening of new patients. The office manager doesn't like you then good luck seeing a doctor or ever getting in.Also after reading other reviews it appears that they have a high turn-around in doctors. Dr. Swanson that has great reviews is no longer there.

Love it there. Dr. Manciet and staff are always so friendly and makes you feel welcome. Best results of weight loss I have ever had. They are all very helpful and always inform you when they have specials and coupons available. I have never had a bad experience there. I always look so forward to my appointments.

Carondelet Medical Group
This the most inconsiderate office. Unbelievable!!! When I showed up for my appointment they informed me, tough, we don't take your insurance as of today. They never called me to let me know so I wouldn't have to lose my wages for the day just you can see the Dr. if you pay us out of pocket, or go to another Dr. It took me 3 months to get into theses Dr. Where was the warning? Hope the labs I had done the week before were good because there is no one willing to read them now. These are not nice people.

Loyal Allstate Customer of more than 15 year is now very unhappy and going to move all my insurance to another insurance company. Customer service has really gone downhill. They cancelled our insurance without notice because my credit card expired and I didn't know. The only notice I received was saying that they had canceled. When I called to pay the bill and reactivate my account they were very unhelpful, after being disconnected 3 times, and said they could not insure a vehicle that has not been insured for more than 30 days. This is the second major problem with these guys. I do not recommend them and would just look somewhere else.

Last night while I was waiting in the emergency room at Carondelet St. Joseph's, a woman came in wrapped in a sheet with no pants, clearly having been rushed to the ER. She was screaming in pain and holding her belly because she believed she may be having a miscarriage. Constance, the only staff member there, gave her a clipboard of paperwork and told her to sit down and complete it. The woman continued to beg for help for her unborn baby as she clung to a wall, unable to sit. After 10-15 minutes and another woman (not even a staff member-someone else waiting for treatment!) asking Constance if they were going to help the poor woman, Constance finally got a nurse who took her back. Her screams could be heard from the waiting room as we all prayed this terrible hospital's failure to help didn't cost that baby its life. Beware--this hospital demonstrates no care for human life...even a baby's.

American Family Insurance - Thom Wadlund Agency
Horrible experience! Thom wadlund was rude & abrupt and because it was late on Friday it seems like he couldn't wait to get out of there and did not want to help. It's going to take 4 days before I can even see an adjuster. Progressive Insurance on the other hand has Drive in claims and will handle the entire claims process with a check in hand usually within an hour or two. After this I'm changing insurance companies and I will never deal with amfam or Thom wadlund again.

I recently switched my auto over to State Farm from Geico and I could not be happier with my decision! Al and his staff were able to get me significant savings with the same coverage I had previously. But beyond just the savings, I was most impressed with the outstanding customer service I received. I was politely greeted when I walked in the office and Al sat down and carefully went over my options with me. I was so satisfied with the quality of service that I decided to switch over all my life and home policies to Al's office as well. I highly recommend anyone shopping for a better insurance provider to look to Al and his staff!

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
