If you are considering an assisted living home for your loved one, you cannot go wrong choosing the exceptional home owned by Robert and Myrna Cherry. My Mother celebrated her 100th birthday there, and the care she received up until the day she left this earth was unequalled. The home is operated with the highest professional standards, and the Cherry’s as well as their caregivers deliver affection, warmth and love in great quantities. My sister and I visited frequently, especially during the last four months of our Mother’s life, when we were almost a constant presence. We felt very much a part of the family, and were always welcomed. With only five residents, the care is individualized to a degree simply not possible in a larger facility. Our family will never forget the compassion Robert, Myrna and the caregivers provided during those difficult final days. I cannot recommend this home more enthusiastically. It is a very special place. B.A. Carr

Review of Gardenia Adult Care Home (Tucson, AZ 85710) 8-12-14 I met Bernie Rosario approximately 10 years ago when she and her team cared for my neighbor’s parents 24/7. Bernie was very caring, attentive, and conscientious with them. Bernie opened her own adult care home approximately 3 years ago. I visited there several times with my father who at the time was living in my home with me while I worked full time. I did have a caregiver come in for him while I was at work. I had also visited several other facilities, trying to prepare in the event it would be necessary to move him to a facility. I truly was attracted to Gardenia because it is so clean, and bright because of the many windows and paint colors. The home has an airy, welcoming feeling, especially in the large common room. There are always home cooked meals, and snacks during the day. The time came when I needed to move my dad on 4-15-12. There was no question that he was going to Gardenia to be with Bernie Rosario and Steve Davis, the owners and caregivers at Gardenia. I was afraid that I would feel terrible leaving Dad there, but my reaction was the totally the opposite. It was truly the right decision. He seemed so at ease from the moment we walked in the door. He was welcomed into the home with open arms and was included in activities as much as he could participate in for the two years he lived there. His dementia had become quite severe. There much interaction with the other residents, their family, Bernie and Steve’s family and other caregivers during his time there. He received excellent care, and it was obvious that he was happy. My father was hospitalized on 3-11-14 and passed away on 3-14-14. Bernie and I were right at his side hugging, touching, and talking to him as his spirit left his body. We were both very blessed to have had this opportunity. I highly recommend Gardenia Adult Care Home to anyone who needs to place a loved one in a facility. If you have questions, I would be happy to speak with you. I can be reached at (Home) 520-749-0791, (Cell) 520-419-1835, or email@example.com Sincerely, Sandi Frank

It's so hard to find a good place, unless you have thousands of dollars to spend and can put your parent at the fountains. We looked at Handmaker, but they were full with a waiting list, so we went here.\r \r The rooms are in barely adequate repair. There are certainly many staff people here whose heart is in the right place. - but I had problems with the front desk staffer being abrupt with me, and listening to a radio station loud while I was in the waiting room. it was also very, very hard to be able to get in touch with the administrator (Jason).\r \r My parent also may had some things stolen from their room, but otherwise I think the place is safe. (They may have forgotten to lock the room, or misplaced the items, but they never turned up.)\r \r The maintenance staff was very nice, and in general the day-to-day nurses and nurses aids very pleasant
