Took my dog to get spayed. They never gave an estimate, called me before she went into surgery to tell me it was going to cost $523. I wouldn't have taken her there if I knew how expensive it would have been. Orange grove animal hospitals estimate was $250. I will never return, nor will I recommend them.

We have been taking our pets to Ina Road Animal Hospital since 1997. We have had the honor and pleasure to get to know many of the doctors and staff over the years. They have all been kind and caring. Our pets have always gotten high quality care, provided with great compassion. The veterinary knowledge and skills displayed by the doctors and staff are truly impressive. We would never take our pets anywhere else. They are open 365 days of the year and don't have an emergency fee. We can't say enough good things about Ina Road Animal Hospital.

We have been going to Orange Grove Animal Hospital for 8 1/2 years with 5 different animals. We see Dr. Carolyn Lopez and she treats us like family. She goes above and beyond and when we lost 2 of our boys (kitties), she did everything she could to save them and expressed sincere sympathy when we lost them. I will continue taking my babies to her and recommend anyone I know to go there as well. We have also seen Dr. Jarchow when Dr. Lopez is out of the office and he has been very nice also.

Although the clinic is a bit of a drive for me and the cats, Dr. Z and the staff at Valencia Animal Hospital are well worth the trek. The clinic is exceptionally clean with separate entrances and rooms for cats and dogs. The wait time is quick to below average, and Dr. Z is attentive, caring, and hilarious too. She is one of the few vets I have been to that seems to have an equal love for all types of animals: cats, dogs, birds, etc! As a cat owner, I appreciate the care and patience Dr. Z exercises while dealing with my crabby old boy cat. This has not often been the case at other vets. The other thing to note: I have never felt pressured to order expensive tests. The doctor is very clear to distinguish between tests that are absolutely necessary, recommended, and top of the line. With a hyperthyroid and heart murmur cat, the tests alone could wipe out my bank accounts and then some. It's been really great to work with a vet that is sensitive to your limitations and helps you plan/manage your pet's care without making you feel irresponsible. She is great about giving multiple options of both diagnostics and treatment, again without pushing the most expensive plan as the mandatory course of action. The pricing for my animals medication is also noticeably cheaper here than in comparison to what I was paying at a VCA clinic and another private vet clinic. Overall, I appreciate the hospital's great care, good prices, and respectfulness. Highly recommended!
7.Broadway Animal Hospital
2300 E Broadway Blvd
VeterinariansPet ServicesPet Boarding & KennelsVeterinary Clinics & Hospitals
Broadway Animal Hospital has been open since 1935 and is one of the oldest veterinary hospitals in Tucson. We are one of the more reasonably priced hospitals around and are proud to serve low income individuals and rescue groups. We are not fancy and our facility does show it’s age. We do the best that we can with it. We apologize for any odors that may linger after 75+ years of patient care. We will gladly saturate the air with air freshener upon request. Some people may find that we are not people friendly. Some days, due to our low prices and work with rescue groups, we see lots of people and as an unfortunate result we may not have time to hold hands or talk shop. However, please do not mistake a quick visit as a rushed and sloppy job. We do our best to provide quality services for reasonable prices. If you think we are not people friendly, we understand. What we want you, the valued client, to understand is that we are definitely pet/patient oriented. Dr. Mueller even goes as far as calling almost every patient she has seen during the week to ensure that your pet is doing well after their visit. We look forward to seeing you and your pets at Broadway Animal Hospital.

Dr Keil & her staff are very caring, putting the welfare of my cats first. They love all animals. I recommend Dr Keil to everyone who has pets. Everyone at the clinic was so kind & ccompassionate when I had to put down two of my elderly cats. When I have to take my grumpy old male to the clinic for his checkups, I know he is in good hands. They love him & give him so much attention that he comes home with a Diva-type attitude. Dr Keil & her staff can't be beat!!! They are truly the best!!!

I had been told by another clinic that I needed to euthanize my old dog because of arthritis. I went to Dr. Livingston who used alternative treatment that extended his life by two and ahlf yrears. He was acting like a puppy again and not suffering at all. I got more than two years with my bets freind I would not have had. When we did fianlly have to put him down for other reasons, he came to my house and did it which was really thoughtful.

Dr DeShazer and his staff are WONDERFUL. You can feel the LOVE, it is palpable! If you really want the best care for your pet family members, you wont find better than Spanish Trail. Dr D has done everything for our pets (both dogs and cats) from shots to the end. The love and concern not only for our pet, but for us when we had to put Barkley to sleep made his passing more tolerable. He has all the most modern tools and even has financial help available when it exceeds my budget. They make caring for your pets accessible and affordable. They love your pets as much as you do!

Their low cost clinic enables me to take good care of 4 rescue dogs that would otherwise need a home. Frankly, it has done a better job with "wellness" exams than either of the two pricey private vets I used to visit (one of whom I blame for repeatedly not reporting an elevated temperature that ultimately caused the death of my dog). The staff has guided me wisely to select new dogs to join my little pack. They also allow "extended" test drives of the old and new dog on leashes at their facility to make sure the match is good. As the dogs share kennels, each dog's general aggressiveness towards other dogs has already been tested and proven. Still, one must be very careful, for weeks if not months, when new dogs are together, to make sure jealousy or dominance or greed over food does not create danger.

After reading the reviews, it is clear to me that this place was once a good business in Tucson, but not anymore!!! Some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed or experienced! The owner, Shane (female) is a real piece of work to boot! When I called her, she blamed my wife and myself for all of her problems! What a joke!!! Go anywhere else! Avoid at all costs, they don't care!!! Instead of giving my puppy shots, they ran me off because they didn't have time. Optionally, I could wait endlessly and 'see' if they could squeeze me in! No thanks. Shane pretended like she cared in the beginning, but then quickly changed her story! She is rude and it is clear that her staffs lousy attitudes stem from her lousy attitude!!!

We also had a bad experience at Acacia. Other reviewers who say money is their primary motivation are correct. They push expensive and unnecessary tests on people who have sick companion animals and who they know they can sucker into paying for the tests that won't do anything but enrich the owner of Acacia, Marc Laudonio. Instead, when people have pets who are suffering from fatal diseases, they should just tell them that they are fatal and let the pet owners decide what to do instead of pushing what they know are tests that won't do any good for the pets, but only will do good for the bottom line of Acacia. I feel sorry for the "employee" vets who have to follow Dr. Laudonio's philosophy on this. They probably work on salary plus commission on selling tests. No wonder they come and go. You take your pet's life in your hands when you go to this place. And you better have lots of money for unnecessary tests to boot. There are many other vets in town that are better than this one.

If you are rich and can pay any amount of money to prolong your pet's life then you might be ok going here - maybe. However, if you can't afford a $5,000 surgery, you can expect Dr. Campbell to yell at you and make you feel horrible because you're not willing to go bankrupt to save your pet. When I told her we didn't have the money she literally said, "Well you're going to have to find it!" Then she proceeded to blame me for one of her mistakes. She took a fine needle asperate of our dog's tumor and then didn't send the test in. When we came for a follow up visit she hemmed and hawed as to whether she SHOULD send it in (all the while we thought she had). When she finally sent the test in it came back that it is probably cancer! She blames me that we "waited so long". On another occasion our dog had a lab test sent in about a tumor. When we called back to find out what treatment they recommended they were surprised we didn't know we were supposed to get antibiotics!

What a great experience! I have had my animals to a few different clinics in town but the staff and doctors at Animal Birth Control are awesome! My dogs are like my children so I look for a place that makes me and my dogs feel comfortable. The staff is always very helpful and so eager to please. The doctors will take the time to explain things in terms that I understand. I have been taking my pets to this clinic that past 2 years and will never use another clinic for my pets care again. I am so pleased that I often tell my family and friends. Like I said I have used other clinics in the past but ABC reall cares about you and your animals. The prices are out of this world, no where else could you get the type of caring staff or doctors that you will get her! Thanks ABC for being a great place to take our pets!
