UNBELIEVABLY GOOD used car buying experience! Decent, honest, down to earth folks & family-owned (father/son) business. These guys are more 'car enthusiasts' than car salesmen. Very refreshing and unusual for this industry, that makes average people like me very anxious...buying a used car from who knows who...often unscrupulous 'dealers'. Eric and dad know their stuff, are long-time Atlanta residents and run an honest business. As for the couple negative reviews, some people like the nasty game of car haggling and that's what they expect to play...well, this isn't the game these guys are playing. If you're in the market for a used vehicle of the kind they have in their fleet, do yourself a favor and give them a try! (seriously, 5 stars across the board!)

WOW!!! I was really impressed!!! I spoke with Michael(new owner) on the phone about the 0420 code (Faulty catalytic converter) setting off my check engine light. He said it could be a less expensive oxygen sensor setting the code which would be found with the diagnostics. I asked if he would have the parts by the time I arrived so I would not have to wait; and he did! Exact fitting parts, not generic! Very, very impressed!!! They replaced the converter and an o2 sensor in an hour!!! Places like this are hard to find... Great job guys!! I will be back with all of our cars as needed. Mark M.PS- New ownership in 2014

When ever one of the cars has a problem Steve is the first person I call. We've been taking our cars there for years and I always trust them to tell me what the problem is, what it will take to fix it and in some instances wether or not it's worth fixing. ( we have some old cars). These guys are something you don't find often. They're honest and know what they are doing.

Atlanta Autopro
I've been going to Atlanta Autopro for a few years since I realized how much money I was wasting going to the dealer. The price is right and the service is always on time and convenient. I like going to a small shop like this where you can talk to the folks that actually worked on your car. Definitely recommend for those in the Tucker/Northlake area.

We are so happy to have found an honest, reasonably priced automotive repair business close to home - one that we can happily recommend to everyone we know. The Macdonells know just how to give the professional and personal service that we were looking for. Will definitely change our business over to them. Thanks so much!

CR Auto Collision Paint & Body Shop
Joseph King provided an estimate for work on my car that was quite detailed for us. We selected CR to do the work, and I picked up the car today. The work was excellent, Joseph was very professional and nice to deal with, and the car was clean as a pin when I picked it up. Thank you, CR. Thank you, Joseph.

John is a honest mechanic and a really nice guy. I have two 2006 Honda's that have both been here several times and I've saved 30-50% off what the dealer quoted. While it looks a bit like a hole in the wall from the street, I highly recommend.

Castrol Premium Lube Express
Visiting Tucker. GA for work and needed an oil change. I went to Castrol as they just opened and had a deal and was in and out in 20 mins. great service and very little upsell pressure
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
