Dave and Frank did an excellent job replacing a deteriorating railroad tie retaining wall on our property with an engineered wall of Versa-Lok bricks. We are extremely happy with the results of their very hard work. Dave Coonrod (the owner) is a very professional contractor. He is an excellent communicator and followed through on all written and verbal promises. He was very respectful of our new concrete driveway that had recently proceeded the retaining wall project and had to build the wall in very constraining environs, both conditions making the job more difficult. I highly recommend Land Escapes for any hardscape landscape projects. We will be contacting them again on our next project!

Landsharks Lawn and Landscape
Terrible service. He would not show up when he was supposed to to cut my lawn then he would bill me for random dates. I had to hire a new service that was dependable. I would not refer this guy to anyone.

We are the proud home owners of the Belleville, MI project. Dave and his crew worked unrelentlessly for seven days, 11 to 13 hrs. each day. Not only were they curteous and friendly, but sought our opinion every step of the way, offering different ideas and perspectives. The end result is truly a work of art! Dave and his men captured the beauty of nature with the retaining walls, and the waterfall appears as a gift from the Divine. Thank you Dave and crew! Jim & Diana Nash

ParkShore Resort
I've had to travel throughout the world to live up to my corporate commitments. After hogging the net for hours I finally settled down with the Park Shore Resort. Their long list of clientele reviews gave me an assurance that I was venturing for the best. Designed for business travelers like me who just need an overnight accommodation, the Park Shore Resort made sure to lavish me with all their comforts. King size rooms with a warm decor is what they provided. It was the perfect setting for corporate guests prior to their daily work obligations. I simply loved the experience and would make it a point to drop by each time I visit that part of the state.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
