Pizza Five85
Glad to be the first to review now that it finally opened. You cannot escape the sea of pizza chains concept of "build your own pizza", they all have the same formula, very similar ingredients, almost the same price, give or take a dollar or less. So how do you stand out? Well Pizza Five85 figured it out, much better ingredient choice, like asparagus, eggplant, fresh jalepenos, chilli peppers, anchioves and the list goes on, they have at least 15 new higher grade toppings that none of the 'build your own pizza' chains offer and that is the first difference,. The second big difference is that they offer it on a nice plate (although hard plastic, it feels and looks like a good porcelain restaurant plate) with good confectioner's paper under the crust. The finished pizza looks great such as you would expect from a great custom pizzeria where the toppings are not bleeding over the ends, but rather has a border where the dough freely and beautifully shows golden crust swells that is so inviting. Good Job Pizza Five85, I hope you have very long lines of customers for many years to come.

Ju Ju Shine Restaurant
This is a small Taiwanese restaurant right across Ramen Hayatemaru. Tiny rear parking or you can park on the street.Very friendly service! The boss (Older lady) will actually come out and talk to the customers (She could speak Mandarin, English and Japanese!), for greeting or asking the dining experience. Ice Oolong tea was served free during lunch time. Food tastes were descent. We had the Pig leg dish, Hainan chicken rice, beef noodle soup and the spicy sour soup. I was impressed by the super soft texture of the pig leg, so as the beef tendon from the beef noodle soup. All dish were very well seasoned and some were a bit too salty.P.S. They also sell home made frozen dumplings for about $15 (50 pieces per bag). I would also like to try their XLB next time.

Black Bear Diner
Ordered the Pot Roast: the cream of Broccoli soup that came with it was very nicely done. The pot roast meat was melt in your mouth well seasoned pieces, the veggies were fresh, and the mashed potatoes lumpy just the way I like them.I also got blackberry pie for dessert: delicious. I'm stuffed.Service is inattentive bordering on being MIA. Why?Another weird observation today: restaurant is 50% empty yet it took 10 minutes for me to be seated. Same for the couples before me and after me. They seem fully staffed to boot.

Lazy Dog Cafe
This place was great, definitely more than I expected. We told our server it was our first time there so the manager gave us free flatbread! I got a pesto pasta dish that was so huge I only ate a third of it. The spinach dip is also delicious. Service was quick and servers were helpful and available, not pushy or rushed, despite the fact that the restaurant was packed. I highly recomend

Lazy Dog Cafe
It was the first time there and the manager gave us flatbread for free. Bad idea. It was delicious but I had a food-o-gasm before my main meal. Dip it in the spinach. Trust me.I had the bison. It was my first time having it and it was cool very well. Definitely will go back again. Amazing staff and had an amazing time.

Bakers Square
I always enjoy coming here. Fast & friendly service, a little wait sometimes can be expected at busy hours...but that's because it's worth the wait. Staff is great, and deserves more 5 star ratings.

Very good Tempura! When I first tried Hannosuke's Tendon I thought "why haven't I had this before?!" It's really that good.
