Walsh Moving
I just wanted to thank you all again for the extraordinary moving job you did for me. Mine was somewhat of an unusual job for many reasons. 1) My collection had been in storage for three years, plus some pieces were in different places around town. 2) They were all antiques and very heavy due to the fact they were pianos, organs and phonographs. 3) I was in Los Angeles, CA and my collection was in Saranac Lake, New York and I could not go back to help. But with all this against you, your company came through like champs! All of my collection arrived safely. As delicate as some of these items are, they were so well packed that not one thing was damaged in the move. Your office was always courteous to me on the phone and as for the movers I feel they went far beyond what I ever hoped to expect in the move. My Father back in New York still raves about how great a company Walsh is and how luck I was to find you. I would and will definitely recommend you.

I used Walsh moving to move from California to New York. Thomas Sapper was my contact the whole way through. From the initial time that I called them to get a quote to the day that the delivery got here. Thomas came to evaluate the stuff that I had to move and gave me a quote within days. I did not have a physical address to have the stuff shipped too yet so it was a little confusing. As I was going to be couch surfing here in New York. But Thomas was very good with letting me know what my options were and how to go about to time everything. I had my stuff picked up in a timely manner and had it delivered in a timely manner. I moved at a not so convenient time of the holidays so it was expected that there would be some complications. They are price is more than reasonable and I called around to other movers as well as looked in the Pod moving. Pod moving was ridiculous expensive for the lack of help that you get from them.

Pick up was on time and each mover was respectful of our items and professional in every way, very hard workers! Truck loaded up, furniture carefully wrapped, fragile items placed carefully in 5 hours! Drop off at our new residence was on time and the same level of professionalism to unload (in the rain) with speed and efficiency as well as care. (mats were laid down to protect the floors and each step was considerate of our items and our home) Chuck the driver was well organized and the unload was completed in 5 hours as well. Not one thing was broken and a box that was misplaced I have all the confidence will be returned. I would highly recommend Walsh movers to anyone moving next door or into another state as we did. Great Job and well done! Tom the owner is always available and very proactive in making the move as painless as it could be as well as very affordable. Once again, job well done! Happy Mover!

These movers are great! You have to get pass the smack talking that goes on between them...its just part of the process! We had 6 movers, and each of them worked VERY hard. The fragile items were WELL packed, they assembled our furniture upon arrival, and they loaded and unloaded a full house PLUS dropped some unneeded furniture to a consignment shop along the way which was such a HUGE help! The drive time was about 1 hour long. Prior to the move, a young gentleman came over to give us an estimate- and when the final bill came after the move, it was $300 LESS than the estimate! Lucky us. I thought the guys handled our belongings with care - but I found that my daughter's slide was broken (it's plastic, Step 2 brand). She's outgrown it, but still. These movers were great, personable, and hard working. Thanks, men!!!

I'm on a tight budget so it was important to get an estimate that was as accurate as possible. Of course, it was also important to have quality movers. I reviewed multiple companies online and narrowed it down to 4. Walsh Moving was definitely the most thorough over the phone. The other companies just wanted to know how many rooms were in the house and provided the rate per hour, but didn't want to take the time to hear what furniture, appliances or anything else I needed moved. I was left trying to estimate how long I thought it would take them to move our things (I do not have the right experience or knowledge to do this). Thomas at Walsh Moving took a detailed account of what I needed moved and explained their pricing and estimate well. He emailed me the estimate so we could each have a record of all the details.

On the day of the move, James, Larry and Frank showed up on time. This was one more person than I was expecting and I asked how this would affect the price. James explained that although it would be more money per hour, it should take less time and the cost should even out or even be less in the long run. I understood but had a sneaking suspicion it could end up costing more if they dilly-dallied or if things just didn't go smooth. To the contrary, these guys really hustled! They were extremely efficient and got the job done right. They helped bring a couch over to my neighbors place, bring some items to the curb and took good care of all of our things. The final cost was $165 less than the estimate!

We recently moved cross country from LA to MD and needed to move our belongings as cheaply as possible. After getting quoted over $5000 for essentially books, clothes, dishes, and a bed by national moving companies, my friend advised me to call Walsh. I'm so happy I did. Not only was the price less than half of the larger companies, but we were able to take a few more items and save on initial furniture costs at our new destination. Everything showed up a week later an in perfect condition. The crew in LA and MD were very professional and super quick. Ralph assisted us on the business end and was a great source of help. I would definitely use them again if I lived in the SoCal area!

Walsh moved me from Seal Beach, Ca. to Louisville, Ky last month. Their price was way less than the other two estimates I obtained. But, guess what. Their service was OUTSTANDING. Seriously, they wrapped my couch and furniture like a Christmas present. So well protected. Everything came to me in excellent shape. I couldn't believe how friendly and professional the guys were there in California and as well as the guys in Louisville. The driver here in Louisville (darn I forget his name) was super nice, professional, and respectful. Thanks dude for everything! Great service. Friendly. Excellent price. I miss California already....maybe I will have them move me back? LOL

I like Walsh Moving & Storage because of a few reasons:1) The movers were reliable and friendly. In addition to that they were efficient. They were able to pack up a whole house in around three hours.2) They come prepared. Unlike other moving companies, Walsh Moving & storage showed up with several blankets, straps, tools, tape.. you name it. Another company we dealt with only showed up with one screwdriver and two-three blankets. WTH?3) This is a big company so they have around 25 employees so they are never fully booked!I would recommend this company to my friends and family for moving. And I would use them again!

Their bid was one of the lowest out of 5 received and their service was flawless. The crew that picked up and loaded, which consisted of Richard, Levert, James and Andres were professional, efficient and friendly. They worked hard and quickly, which taking care of everything, treating our possessions with care. In short, they were great! They provided free wardrobe boxes which made moving our clothes easy, just fill the boxes in our old location, take them out and hang them in the new location and Walsh takes back the boxes. That's a super service and a savings since wardrobe boxes can be costly.

Just a moment...
