Five years ago I had a new roof put on my mother's house. The original roof on her house was 20 years old and leaking in several places! My mom was looking for someone to just patch her roof, but I insisted on having the whole roof replaced since there were multiple leaks and who knows what other leaks were up there that we hadn't found out about yet.Phil came over to give us a quote on the roof. My mom had a million questions which Phil was very kind and patient in answering all of them. He made sure that we were comfortable with what we were about to purchase before signing on the dotted line. He was also very knowledgeable about their product line. After signing on the dotted line and committing to purchasing a brand new roof, the work started a few days later. The roofing crew was very professional, efficient, and clean! They made sure before they left everyday that there were no stray nails on the floor or debris. We never worried if the roofing crew was doing their job. If we didn't hear them working, they always made sure that we knew when they were going on break, lunch, and when they would be stopping work for the day. Periodically during the course of the two day build, Phil would come over to hop up on the roof to make sure that the roofing crew was doing their job correctly. In the end, the company did a great job on my mom's roof! There is a noticeable difference in temperature inside the house, especially during the summertime. I would definitely use this company again for any further home improvements. They may be a bit on the pricier side of things, but it's worth the peace of mind in knowing that they will do a fabulous job with high quality materials and great workmanship. I would've given this company 5 stars, but had to take 1 away for the bothersome followup calls. One call to check if they did a good job is ok, but 3 calls because they were trying to sell my mom more products after repeatedly saying, "no" is unacceptable. Overall I would recommend this company to others and would use them again.

I am writing to express my overwhelming satisfaction for a job well done! I have lived at my home since 1967 and am now retired. Over the last year the paint on the outside of my house started to chip and flake to the point where I was embarrassed to look at it. When I met with Strider, your companies project manager, I found him to very polite and knowledgeable throughout the entire TexCote presentation. He worked with my budget and made the project comfortably affordable for me. Your workers did an amazing job of repairing the damage and I love my new TexCote exterior:) They were on time, mindful of my plants and pets and finished in 4 days. I would highly recommend your company to anyone that truly wants a top quality outfit working on their home. I've since ordered new Vinyl windows from you folks and can't wait to get them installed. Thank you again!

Pacific Homeworks
This company was excellent when it came to communication. They always expedited to call me back. I truly appreciate that there was always a supervisor there that spoke English. The supervisor was always on board or called me immediately. I was afraid because there are not a lot of people who you can trust when it comes to taking care of your house, but Pacific Homeworks assured me that they had the backing of their company and worked very well with me. Mark, the sales representative, went over our finances with us and assured me that everything would be done the way the company and I expected it to be done. They followed through with everything. Everyone that worked on my house would always come up to introduce themselves. There is nothing negative about this company. I am impressed with the way they presented themselves.

I had put my own roof on myself years ago, and it lasted a while, but then I had Pacific Homeworks come out and put on my next roof. I know that my neighbor had his roof put on for really cheap, and the contractors ended up not finishing it for some reason. The representative, Ben, was very informed and told me many reasons why the other guys left the other house. When I got the work done, it was loud, but what do you expect it's a roof being ripped off your house. They put brand new shingles on there with a neat venting system that keeps the house a little cooler in the summer time. The roof looks great and I also got my trim painted by them too a few months ago. I'm glad I used Pacific Homeworks and I will call them again for any further work.

Pacific Homeworks
All of the commitments and recommendations Pacific homeworks made came through. There wasn't a single time I felt like Pacific homeworks would do a bad job on my roof. A person who is looking for a reliable contractor to do their roof should look at these guys. I know I could get the roof cheaper, but I knew that I didn't want a cheap job because my roof had 3 layers of shingle plus wood shake underneath, it was pretty bad. I knew that these guys were reliable and I know through all their credentials really made them stand out from the crowd. When they doubled the insulation. It really kept my house cool during the summer. It was a very noticeable change from all the previous years in the house, which to me is worth a lot.

I was looking for someone to paint my house and didn't know where to go. The same day I was looking, someone from Pacific Homeworks knocked on my door. I looked at their work and really appreciated the security of a life time warranty. So I had my entire house painted with Text-Coat. They did such an amazing job. They did the wood surfaces and repaired stucco that was damaged. Now my house stands out in my neighborhood as the nice one. After such a good experience with Pacific Homeworks, when it came time for a new roof I called Eric. They came out and I picked the colors and it came out amazing. Just in time for the rain season. I liked the color choices they offered for both the house paint and trim and the roof.

We appreciate the fact that the crew started painting on time. Having the project manager to either come to the house or called everyday to check in until the job was completed was amazing to us knowing the they are busy with others also.We are so pleased with the workmanship of the crew and the new beauty of our home. We have had a number of neighbors stop by to give us wonderful compliments on the new look. Me and my husband have been working with Pacific Homeworks for a long time. We have gotten all of our Windows, paint, and roof from them and every time they have done an excellent job. We are extremely happy with the work. They were on time, cleaned up, and took care of our home. The windows looks great, the paint lasts a lifetime, and the roof is wonderful. All the warranties transfer over to our children when they inherit our home, so we're glad we made the choice to work with Pacific Homeworks. Our house is the nicest looking home on the entire block thanks to these wonderful contractors. Thank you, would recommend! 5 stars.

I had an appointment with a nice young man from Pacific Home Works about a week ago, and although I wasn't able to use them to do my badly needed roof, Ben was a very polite and knowledge young man. He showed me pictures of what was happening to my roof and more. I knew my roof needed work and he kindly told me all the reasons why. Ben is very smart and knows construction very well. I couldn't get the work done due to other things, but I know that when I will get it done, there's no other choice than Pacific Home Works. They are very knowledgeable and willing to help out.

The offer was presented in great detail with pictures of exisisting roof problems and how to avoid them. The presentation and videos convinced me Pacific Homeworks was capable of a good job.I was pleasantly pleased with both crews. The men worked so hard and so well as a team. When I became concerned about a potential problem, Richard the team supervisor, produced photos of my roof "in progress" and a reasurring explanation. My concern was unfounded but was treated with respect.Pacific Homeworks produced the good job promised. I would be pleased to suggest them to others.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
