Henry's Auto Sales
I hate the idea of getting a used car. When people say, "when you buy a used car you also buy other people's problems," they are so right. I have had the WORST luck with used cars. However, my son needed to get some wheels for work and college. With a limited budget we were off looking for a used car. . .sigh. We live in South Toledo so there are many little buy here, pay here lots. Nothing, just junk. We drove into Rose City Motors. The key word is drove, because the cars they offered were way over priced, and bigger pieces of junk than the small buy here, pay here lots we had gone through. However, right past Rose City Motors we noticed a small lot with several nice looking PT Cruisers. We stopped in. All the cars looked sharp, with great sticker prices. . .but the lot was closed with a sign that said Opened on Thurs. only?? We jotted the number down. I called on a Wednesday just to see if I would get a pick up. . .I did. Henry answered with his more than hospitable voice. He said he had other lots (one on Tramainsville. He is retired and selling cars was one of many things he did. As far as the hours. . .just call him. The man is incredible, he will do his best to meet with you when you want, no matter the day. In fact, Henry was out at the Reynolds Rd. lot with us every time we asked. We decided on another one of his vehicles that he had, but again, all the cars looked to be in great shape. . .most within the 100-130K mileage. Next step: I told my son not to get too excited. We have looked and had several cars checked by an independent mechanic. . .lemons. So off to the mechanic we went . The mechanic who knows me by now (Walt's Auto World), gave a big sigh when he saw me AGAIN. Another inspection to wait out. Walt came out with a surprised look on his face. . .literally. He said the car looked great (I needed new front rotors only). No leaks, nothing. Great car, and quickly asked where I got it. As far as Henry, just a great guy with an abundance of laughs, and a positive attitude on life. By the time you are done meeting with him, you secretly wish he would jot your number down in case he and his wife want to meet up with you and your spouse (I imagine his wife has to be just as much of a riot). Anyway, good guy. . .great cars. . .awesome prices. It's worth looking into really. Thank you Henry.

My fiance & I were in a bind within months of each other & we hired Stevin for both of our cases. My fiance was originally facing 3 serious charges & had a lot of prison time hanging over his head. With Stevin by his side, 2 of the charges were dropped & he was given a much lesser sentence than originally depicted. As far as my case, I had cases in 2 different counties & 4 charges, 3 of which were felonies. I was also looking at doing some time, but Stevin definitely saved my life, LITERALLY. I didn't have to sit one day in jail & I finished both of my cases felony free. He is a very likable, caring guy & the first attorney I've ever heard of to hand out their cell phone number so you can reach them 24/7. I took full advantage of Stevin's accessibility & he consoled me throughout my cases on nearly a daily basis, which is something he really didn't have to do. I couldn't have asked for anything more from Stevin. I will without a doubt contact him for any need I have in the future.

Paramount Motors Sales & Service Inc
What I loved most about this place was how low pressure it was, how fairly the cars were priced, and the helpful nature of the folks who worked there. Peter greeted me and allowed me to browse the lot without hovering which was great. I really liked that you can pull up the carfax reports from the website...most of what I saw were low mileage, one owner lease returns. I was interested in a Subaru that ended up being way in the back of the lot but four cars were moved just so I could take it for a spin. I loved it!! We agreed on price and the paperwork took what only felt like 30 minutes and had no surprises. Could not recommend these guys more!

Tom Cater Auto Sales
I have had so much trouble with dealers in the past however after a search I found no complaints on the net about Tom Cater's . I gave them a chance and found them men their word and somewhat flexible in there price and warranty. They have two flat charges $100 Dock and $15 registration fees and that's it. If you ever bought a car from the big dealerships you never know what you are paying because of the hidden cost till signing. My wife picked up her used 2005 Honda Odyssey and she loves it....Thank you guys, we will be back!!Keith

Law Office Of J Baron
Joanna and I, the owner of Guardian Settlement Services, had the opportunity to work professionally with a number of mutual clients all of whom have had nothing but outstanding things to say about her and her office. She is, without exception, the one attorney I referred people to first and foremost to handle almost anything that might have arisen. She consistently performed exceptionally in court and out, regardless of the level of fee income involved. This is trait rarely found in attorneys.

Joe's Auto
After looking at a dozen vehicles locally and not finding that diamond in the rough we were looking for, we made the trek to Toledo from north suburbs of Detroit and we're so glad we did. Eddie was terrific- a no pressure, personable, considerate salesman that stayed two hours after closing to help us buy the car my daughter was dreaming of. Mint condition, low miles and a really good value. We couldn't ask for a better car buying experience. Thanks, Eddie!

Jet Towing
Jet Towing is a dying breed of auto towing services where they don't charge an arm and a leg like most "big" companies. Their driver was not only on time and polite, but even went as far as to point out what he saw was wrong with my car before towing it.Jet Towing is the preferred towing company of L & M Automotive, which is my auto mechanic shop. -I knew if L&M recommended them, then they were sure to be affordable, reliable and a pleasure to work with.

Davis Mark
Terrible Attorney. Period. He will take your money and run. He does not return phone calls, he does not answer emails, he doesn't know ANYTHING about family law, child support, or custody. He is a terrible terrible terrible lawyer. Do not trust him with your money or your family rights. He pretty much knows squat. I would have done better representing myself.

Franklin Park Auto Credit Center
Just bought my new van here, Tom is great! He told me to drive it for three days and look for anything that is wrong and he will get it taken care of. I told him that I needed a key fob, it needed an alignment and some trim was loose. Took it there, got a loner car for the day while he gets all of that taken care of for me. Great service!
Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
