Alternative Physical Therapy
Although the staff is knowledgeable and mostly friendly, I am disappointed in the treatment I received during my last few treatments. I'm also severely disappointed in the billing practices. When I first started being treated, I was a priority. They pride themselves in one on one treatment, yet the therapist was distracted, not spending the whole time on me. During one appointment she was ill and kept falling asleep during the therapy, during another she left me in the room alone with a student doing nothing for a good 15 minutes. Yet I'm being over billed. I contacted them asking if I could make payments and the response was not very positive, so I started making payments anyway. Instead of my bill decreasing after payments, it started increasing, even though I hadn't been there. I was told by the billing person that the bills are confusing, so I asked for a clear statement after sending a payment, instead I received one paper with only my payments on it, and the total owed. I'm upset that I referred people to this practice. They are unprofessional as far as I'm concerned.

Alternative Physical Therapy
Wonderful and caring place. Great one on one attention. Lisa Kelly at Alternative Physical Therapy is amazingly gifted, she is very attentive and recognizes that whatever your injury is, that it affects your whole body. I have been to many other PT's in our area. Alternative Physical Therapy is by far the best place I have ever been treated and received the most amazing results. I would refer my friends and family here in a second, and I have!

Alternative Physical Therapy
You won't believe how much better you'll feel after a session with Lisa Lutman! She does excellent work for your body and soul! I originally saw her because I needed an energy boost and boy! Did I get one with just a 30 minute session. On another occasion I was having difficulty with my knee. Lisa did an excellent job of straigtening my legs and body which was causing the difficulty. I would recommend Lisa & the Center for Alternative Physical Therapy to ANYONE.

Alternative Physical Therapy
I've received results from the therapy I've received from Lisa Lutman, Isabella and Cassandra. The aquatic therapy three times a week coupled with one on one office therapies have given by body more strength, balance and an overall better feeling. If other P.T. hasn't worked for you, give them a try, I think you'll be glad you did.
Tips & Advices
At the first appointment with a physical therapist, Expect an overall assessment of your condition, which may include exercises to understand your range of motion, balance, and strength. Based on that information, the therapist can then design a regimen.
Physical therapists can work in a variety of environments. While many choose to work in a physical therapy clinic, others will operate out of hospitals and are also able to make house calls to help patients who need in-home assistance and rehabilitation.
Physical therapists can specialize in sports medicine, women's health, geriatric, neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, among others.
See a physical therapist following a serious muscle or bone injury, especially if pain doesn't go away within a few days, is recurring and dull, or is frequent and sharp. Book an appointment if medication is not helping or if your doctor recommends it.
The majority of health insurance plans do include physical therapy treatment, but the amount covered and the co-pay for patients varies person-to-person. Medicare and workers’ compensation both cover physical therapy.
