Glass City Movers
I was in need of last minute movers and my very good friend had referred me to Glass City Movers. I gave them a call and they provided excellent customer service! They went above and beyond to meet my expectations, were extremely helpful and made sure everything went perfect to the tee. When moving day came the guys were prompt and ready to work. They were extremely kind and worked diligently to get the job done. I had a few large items and the guys were able to help me assemble them which I thought was very generous. They worked quickly yet efficiently, I had no damaged or broken items. Glass City was extremely affordable and there were NO hidden fees what so ever. I would like to thank the Glass City Mover's team for a stress free move!

Glass City Movers
It was a nightmare and not an easy task. Fortunately Glass City Movers are available in our city and asked me to relax a bit when I was screaming for shifting to our new home. I was comfortable with them from my first call till the end. The ease with which they relocated our goods is incomparable and they use the right methodology and tools to safely pack and unpack our goods and deliver them to our destination address. Very skilled and trained people !

Glass City Movers
I am extremely pleased with this company. I used them to move within Maumee and I think they really know what they're doing. The people who handled my job were very hardworking, well-prepared, efficient and careful. I had a lot of weight to move, and a good distance to move it at both ends, and I was amazed at how quickly they got the job done. This also made the price a very good deal. Nice and friendly also.

Glass City Movers
I used Glass City Movers for my move. They took great care in handling everything out of the former house and into the new. They moved a few pieces around to ensure it was exactly where we wanted it to be. They worked well individually and as a team. All the plastic was removed from the furniture after the move and was taken away with them. The crew was friendly and delivered my stuff safely. Thank you.

Glass City Movers
I had never used a moving company before and I was worried about the care of my stuff. Searching online it sounded like these guys do a good job and after using them I can say that they did a great job with my move. They cared for my stuff and I didn't ever see them be rough with it. There were fast to load and unload and I did not find any damage. I would definitely recommend glass city movers.

Glass City Movers
I would highly recommend Glass City Movers. My moving crew was professional, personable and extremely efficient. I have had bad moving experiences in the past, and was wary even after receiving a not to exceed estimate ahead of time. The move could not have gone smother and there were no hidden charges. They turned a stressful time into a stress free experience. I can't thank them enough!

Glass City Movers
I contracted Glass City Movers to help me move into a bigger apartment in Fremont. The moving crew, Dylan and Tim were right on time on the day of the move. They helped me label and pack my stuff into boxes. The boxes were safely loaded and then transported to my apartment. They were careful even during unloading so no damage occurred. Thank you for your excellent services.
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
