"Saw Dr. Steffy 2 nights in a row. I feel like he saved my life. Had seen a regular MD who basically patted me on the head, gave me 2 inhalers, and said he'd see me in 2 weeks. I made sure he know how sick I was and asked him about lab work, X-Rays, antibiotics, or anything else because he knew my lungs were a big issue. It was No-No-No. I left feeling helpless and hopeless . I went over here at 6:30 pm and Dr. Steffy was thorough to the point where he thought a CT of chest would be good, even after X-rays here. It revealed Pneumonia in the bottom of my lungs not detected on other X-ray. Blood work revealed more so after 5 months of searching for why my health and energy were going downhill faster and faster, I finally had answers, hope, and most of all peace of mind. Instead of letting it go, I wanted to tell someone here how incredible Dr. Steffy is. He is an asset to your Urgent Care and I am looking forward to him having his own practice so he can be my Dr.!Thank you for my wonderful experience here!"

Lipkin Arthur Dr
I had a bit of a dental emergency at about 11pm on a Saturday night. After calling multiple dental offices with no avail, a friend recommended I try contacting her dentist. I called Dr. Lipkin's emergency line and not only did he answer, but he met me at his office within just 15 minutes. I was having excruciating tooth pain, so this was life-saving! I was so pleased with Dr. Lipkin's professionalism and sincerity. He talked me through my options and allowed me to make an informed choice. He very easily could have told me to do something that was very expensive and unnecessary. And honestly, with the pain I was in, I would have paid an arm and a leg if I had to. But Dr. Lipkin was very straight forward and honest; it also happened that he takes my insurance, which is a huge plus! Ever since, I've been going to Dr. Lipkin regularly for all of my dentistry needs and I couldn't be happier.

The reason I give this place two stars instead of one star is because of staff- they are nice and friendly with my 3 years old daughter. However, they failed to provide ADA accommodation (providing an ASL interpreter) so I can understand what is going on with my daughter's appointments. I gave them agency information to find an interpreter. First appointment interpreter "didn't show up". Second appointment- we set up the appointment like three weeks before and they still could not set up an interpreter. I had to cancel the appointment due to no interpreter provided. They are supposed to call us back to reschedule an appointment with an interpreter. They never called back. This showed me that they do not want to provide the ADA accommodation for the equal communication access. (ADA means American Disability Act)

Barbara and i were particularly appreciative of your telling her in early Febuary that she was in advanced stages of bronchiectasis and that she did not have much longer to live and that she needed to accomplish whatever she needed to do soon. you gave this information to her in a very gentle and kind way, and it was the first that she had heard of the real seriousness of her MAC inection as well as the bronchiectasis, because her pulmonary doctor and her infectious disease doctor did not give her this information. they were always talking about a cure when the reality was that such was really not possible,

Romero, Judith, MD
Greetings! I am a recent patient in your office of Dr. Poonawallas. I received 5 star quality care from Dr. Poonawalla and her staff. From the moment I met her we established immediate rapport which put me at ease for a minor in-office procedure I had performed. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. Poonawalla in the office of Dermatology and Cosmetic Care and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking quality dermatologic care. -jason v

Thank you for taking me in so quickly. I was stung by a bee a 1/2 hour before coming in. I could not breathe and was becoming very anxious. The staff at Thousand Oaks Urgent took me in immediately and the doctor prescribed injections, which was immediately administered. The staff at Thousand Oaks Urgent Care are professional, efficient, caring, and able to triage which in my case was a great blessing.

I came into your clinic with food poisoning while in Newbury Park after the death of a close family member. Needless to say, I was having a very, very rotten day. The staff there that morning was so wonderful to me. Going beyond the normal level of care with their kindness. I just want ou all to know how much it touched my heart. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I will always remember your care.

Unbelievable experience! Had a lower face lift (the in office procedure) and am 4 weeks out and I'm so thrilled! No more jowl! Recovery was flawless for me personally. Dr. Waldman is such a perfectionist and I never feel rushed by him. And the staff is so wonderfully kind and helpful. Can't wait for my next procedure!

I am so happy with Dr. Mundwiller's medical care at urgent care. I haven't been happy with the care I have received by my own physician and will transfer all my records to urgent care. Thank you to all the staff at urgent care for the professional way you conduct business and treat patients with respect.
Tips & Advices
The most common dental problems in children are:
  • Cavities
  • Bad breath
  • Gum disease
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Grinding
  • Canker sores
  • Missing teeth
  • Extra teeth
  • Bite and alignment issues
Thumb sucking is not specifically a dental problem, but it can cause a malocclusion, a condition where the top and bottom teeth don't line up correctly.
To clean a baby's teeth, use a small, soft-bristled toothbrush designed specifically for infants. Apply a tiny amount of non-fluoride toothpaste - about the size of a grain of rice - and gently brush all sides of the teeth and the tongue. Before the baby's first teeth emerge, use gauze or a wet washcloth wrapped around the finger to wipe the gums. This motion doesn't necessarily reduce bacteria, but it does help the infant to get used to the sensation of having his or her teeth cleaned.
Children should visit their pediatric dentist every six months. This recommended frequency does not change throughout a person's lifetime.
No, wisdom teeth do not need to be removed unless they cause pain, lead to dental issues, or are aligned incorrectly.
Yes, dental sealants prevent cavities by filling in deep grooves in the teeth. Without them, bacteria can collect in these areas and cause tooth decay, which can happen with children.
