Good Works Auto Repair, LLC
Good Works Auto Repair is AMAZING! The staff were so helpful when i called in regards to fixing my car. Upon arriving to drop my car off for services, i was offered a drink/ snack and offered me a ride home for my convenience and a ride back to the shop when it was complete. My services were so small they charged me at minimum cost and were so polite, helpful, persistent and did it in a very timely manner. I used google as a search engine and In am very very happy with my decision to use GOOD WORKS AUTO... I would recommend it for anyone wanting to find a GOOD PRICED, RELIABLE, and, EXPERIENCED workers. They gave me a list of other small problems wrong with my car but IN NO WAY pressured me to get them done now. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by an "all the time mini van driver" who is VERY SATISFIED :) THANK YOU

American Five Star Auto Repair & Transmission
Honerable and Honest was my experience at American Five Star Car Care Center. Owner/Chief Mechanic Eric Ali was very thourough in explaining the problem with my engines coils and why they went bad. Unlike many other shops I have gone to that just give you a price and no information. After I left I felt like I understood more about my cars engine than I would of ever thought and how to maintain it to avoid many problems down the road. I had taken my car to the dealer and got the price to fix of 1689.84 and had Eric fix everything the dealership said needed to be done for only 942.71 with a better and longer warranty on the work. I highly recommend this company and after one visit you will understand why.

American Five Star Auto Repair & Transmission
Now I know why it's called Five Star Car Care Center. I was more than impressed with the service and the quality of that service that was given to my escalade. My wife took car to dealership and they wanted 1400 dollars for services. I than looked up a tempe auto repair center and found Eric at Five Star. I took my car in and showed him exactly what the dealership was going to do and what they wanted. Eric then showed me everything that needed to be done which was actually work than the dealership was going to do and the total cost was 733.47 out the door. So better service and a more than fair price. A customer for life we are now and highly recommend.

Gils Automotive
I've been taking my cars to Gil for over 30 years and have never had a problem with his workmanship or knowledge about vehicles , domestic or import . He has always came through on his commitment to get the car back to me on time , even if he stayed after 5 pm to finish it the night before, unlike other shops that would say " it's not ready yet " , it's Friday evening and you're left without a vehicle for the weekend. Gil stands behind his word , workmanship and is very affordable compared to dealerships that always want to over sale you . I've be blessed to have someone with his knowledge to work on my vehicle. Blessings for another 30 years of business.

Az Auto Doctor
I have gone to AZ Auto Doctor in Tempe for years and I have received nothing but outstanding service. As a single mother I have to go to a service place that I trust and that is not going to rip me off iwth expensive service or work I do not need. Ryan and the staff at AZ Auto Doctor havealways provided excellent work at a price i can afford. I am sorry the couple that complained had a bad experience but she is the exception not the rule. I strongly recommend them over any service provider including the dealerships. If you are looking for trustworthy, auto repair at a resonable price provided by friendly people go to AZ Auto Doctor.

The Auto Glass Guy
In Arizona you're always a little skeptical when it comes to choosing an auto glass company. So many of them make promises they don't deliver on... up to $300 cash back! Ha. I knew right away that was to good to be true. The Auto Glass Guy offered me $50 cash for my windshield replacement through my insurance company. It seemed legitimate and it was. They had exceptional service from start to finish, I got my windshield replaced in a timely manner and $50 cash. You just can't beat that!

Gerber Collision & Glass
There were a couple of glitches concerning the sensor system in my brand-new Ram 1500 that was rear-ended. The new technology was causing hurtles and issues. Gerber (Scott!) was AMAZING in how they made SURE that everything was fixed. Everyone, from start to finish, was professional, friendly, and communicated in a timely manner. I really like the life-time warranty. They stand behind their workmanship. I'd recommend Gerber, Tempe.

Ultimate Imports
I was very fortunate to have been referred to Ultimate Imports in 2000 and still only go there today. Dave is an exceptional mechanic and a very honorable man. For Kallndl W., I think you ought to update your negative review. If you'd followed thru with Dave's diagnosis then you would know he was correct. It's the Ultimate place in the city to have ANY vehicle worked on...Old, New, Foreign or Domestic.

Choice Auto Repair
This shop is the best I have ever dealt with. They are very professional and honest group of guys here. Kevin gave me a great deal on fixing my AC and I like them so much , that I took my car back to them to help me pass emissions. Everyone of their customers that I spoke with in the lobby all had great things to say about them too. !!! They also offer a free shuttle ride to and from your location.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
