Lifetime Automotive
Upfront and honest! They sent me pictures of the problem with my car and even let me know about some things I didn't know about, I was able to get all the repairs done same day and they let me barrow a car while they did it. Thanks Guys!!

Kones Auto Repair
This man is nothing but a cheat. i took my car for him to fix... he charged me this outrageous price which i agreed to pay. I went to his shop to pick up my car, it wasn't there. I later found out he had used my car to run his personal errands. 3 days later, my car started with the same issue i asked him to fix. When i called him, he ignored my calls. Days later i went to him shop and he became very argumentative to the point i had to call the cops. Stay clear from Kone Auto Repair in Tempe.

Ronnie's Auto Service
DO NOT GO HERE. They will take advantage of you if they think you don't know anything about cars. They did a diagnostic on my vehicle (which cost an extra $110, even if you get the work done there) and told me my intake manifold was "cracked near where the brake booster connects". Rick gave me a $1300 quote for repair. I knew that was unlikely and got a second opinion on it. Turns out it was just a bad gasket on my PCV valve, which cost under $400 to repair. On top of that, Rick told me a new intake manifold was $690 from the dealer, that he "made no money" off dealer parts, and couldn't even give me a 10% discount for being a student. But when I called the dealer myself, they told me a new intake manifold costs $490! I understand mechanics have to make money, but not by being crooked and dishonest. They did not tell me that the diagnostic fee COULD NOT be applied to any repairs, which is not usual at most places, in addition to a wrong diagnosis and overall lack of care and customer service.

Sun Devil Auto
Went in to get an oil change and they told me my power steering had a leak and I would have to pay $59 for them to do a cleaning to see if it was the pump or hose. They said after that it would be anywhere from $500-700 to fix it. I went and got a second opinion and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car I have no leaks! They are liars and just want money! I think they saw me as a young girl they could take advantage of. I do not suggest this place! I am a single mother I would of been so upset if I payed all that money for nothing. They are horrible people

All Tune & Lube
My car was in Dave's shop from September 14th to September 24th. At no point was Dave able to guess as to what happened to cause the issue. He made a suggestion as to a solution, and I had him try it. $1,100 later, the issue was still not fixed. Dave made another suggestion, even saying "If this were my car, this is what I would do". Another $750 later, the issue was still not fixed. So at 1:30 pm on a Friday I asked Dave to remove the transmission again so I could send the parts to the manufacturer. He said he would have to wait until Monday to even start working on it, despite the fact that his shop is open all day Saturday and until 6:00 pm on Friday. He said he always has a lot of walk-in business and that he needed to get those people back to work on Monday. I thought, given the fact that my car had already been at his shop for 9 days, and considering my expenditures, that my car might be given priority over a walk-in.

The Auto Glass Guy
In Arizona you're always a little skeptical when it comes to choosing an auto glass company. So many of them make promises they don't deliver on... up to $300 cash back! Ha. I knew right away that was to good to be true. The Auto Glass Guy offered me $50 cash for my windshield replacement through my insurance company. It seemed legitimate and it was. They had exceptional service from start to finish, I got my windshield replaced in a timely manner and $50 cash. You just can't beat that!

Gils Automotive
I've been taking my cars to Gil for over 30 years and have never had a problem with his workmanship or knowledge about vehicles , domestic or import . He has always came through on his commitment to get the car back to me on time , even if he stayed after 5 pm to finish it the night before, unlike other shops that would say " it's not ready yet " , it's Friday evening and you're left without a vehicle for the weekend. Gil stands behind his word , workmanship and is very affordable compared to dealerships that always want to over sale you . I've be blessed to have someone with his knowledge to work on my vehicle. Blessings for another 30 years of business.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
