I have been going to this Tunex location for 6 years. The owner, Steve, is very knowledgeable and does everything he can to help customers. I do most of my own automotive repair but this is the only place I will bring my car when I don't have time to do it myself.

Tanner Transmissions
Paying a huge amount of money to replace your transmission is never happy, but Blaine made it as nice as it could be They got it done in time and stuck with their quote.

Tanner Transmissions
If you read a good review about Tanner Transmission they wrote it themselves.Look up the Better Business Bureau score on Tanner Transmission & it will be clear why using them is the worst decision for you, your car & your money that you could make.Tanner Transmission will rebuild your transmission and it will never work the same again.Youll be out of your money and they won't give you a refund as is what happened to us in our experience dealing with them. They held my car hostage for several months with sketchy updates that never added up coming ONLY when we ourselves called.Greed and very sketchy ethics start with Blaine Tanner, and it affects the entire operation. They have zero customer service or structure for communication in their company. If youre thinking about working with Tanner Transmission, DONT DO IT, go to Aamco or Tranmission City, or any other option other than these guys. Not a single good thing will come from your experience other than giving your money away to a crook.

Big O Tires
Inept and liars. I asked them to use a torque wrench when they put the lug nuts back on. Counter person even went out and reminded them. Still no. They just used the impact driver. Damaged the lugs, and warped one of my back drums. It took me at 170 lbs, jumping on a 3 foot tire iron to get the lug nuts off when I rotated to tires the next day. I did so to figure out why my brakes were now pulsing (warped brake drum) and if it would effect the alignment, which was slightly off (not due to Big O). On top of this the tires were inflated haphazardly to 55-70 psi instead of the rated 30/35. They couldn't even be bothered to screw the valve caps on. Two fell off. One was split. When I went back the next day to ask, a different counter guy lied to my face and told me "Our guys ALWAYS use a torque wrench. I don't know what you're talking about. We did nothing wrong."For a little back ground I'm a certified motorcycle mechanic, and have been working on all types of vehicles for almost 30 years. Don't use these guys.

Tanner Transmissions
Tanner Transmissions was on time and on budget. The on time part was very important to me, as I needed to have a car to do my job. Jim the manager at the State Street Shop told me it would take a maximum of three days to repair the clutch in my Toyota he under promised and over delivered it took Tanner only about one and half days. When the last time a mechanic did that for you? Anyway I was able to plan for other transportation. I have not been told the whole truth by some other mechanics and it was refreshing to have someone come out and give me the facts. The price wasn't so bad either.

Tanner Transmissions
I usually never provide recommendations or reviews. However, for Tanner Transmissions I will make sure to go out of my way to recommend their services to anyone needing a mechanic. I had a crazy issue with my transmission and ABS system that would intermittently engage when braking normally. This was a huge problem and no one could diagnose the root cause. I was actually told by another mechanic that I was lying the ABS system was fine. Jim had my vehicle one day, invested the time to test drive my car till the problem happened again. They he identified and replaced a faulty brake sensor within a few hours and had the car back to me with no issues. Tanner Transmissions are professional, reliable mechanics you can trust.

Meineke Car Care Center
Worst experience ever at an automobile repair place and I have been to a lot. The manager there tries to act like the nicest and most knowledgeable guy ever but he is just really giving you the run around. To make a long story short, after 2 days no repairs done, he was being totally rude and disrespectful but trying to do it in a nice tone like he was the good guy and it is our fault. I am a busy mom of 5 kids and a lot of bad luck lately especially with cars but I have dealt with a lot of stuff and handled it just fine. My whole experience was so bad here that I left in tears and disappointed in myself for letting them get me so upset. I would pay twice as much to go anywhere but here. Don't trust these guys.

Exotic Mobile Detailing Inc
I have never worked with a company has horrible has Exotic Mobile. First, they lied to us AFTER we bought our gift card. They told me that they don't charge more for traveling. When we called to set up the appt, they told us it would be 1.50 per mile. After fighting with the CEO (horrible to work with, blames everything on the customer) they finally came to our house and did a TERRIBLE job. After they were done it didn't even look like they came. My 3 year old nephew could have done a better job. My dad took pictures and sent them to the CEO and was told he would talk to the worker about it. 2 weeks later my dad still didn't hear a word from them. After texting the CEO, He again blamed my dad for not reminding him. Don't you think if you had a unsatisfied customer you would do anything to help them. I would never work with again, even if it was free! DO NOT give them business. I promise you will be disappointed.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
