Bob France Auto Service
I was referred to Bob by a neighbor. Was not steered wrong, through troubleshooting videos on the internet I self diagnosed the problem as either the pressure plate or throw out bearing in the transmission of my 97 Honda Accord. Spoke with Bob who estimated the cost for this job to be just over $600. Told Bob that I would have car towed to his shop. When I called the shop to say the car was on it's way, Bob said he already had the part waiting(WOW). The shop further diagnosed the problem when the car arrived and as it turned out, the passenger side drive shaft had became disconnected, and the cost would be just over $200, saving me $400. If Bob France wasn;t an experienced, honest and most important ethical mechanic he could have charged me the $600 and then said by the way you need this $200 part also, I would never have known any differently.. Not only honest, but also quick service, the car was ready same day.

A-1 is great. Beau the owner is knowledgeable in all areas as far as cars go. He doesn't beat around the bush, can tell you what is wrong, is accurate, get's the job done and does it for a fair price. If he isn't sure he will research it not keep fixing things that don't need fixing. He does require appointments but if something happens he will always try to fit you in. Best place I have found in Florida in 20 years. It is a little hard to find the first time but just call he will tell you how to get there.

Stopped in to have my truck worked on. I had the part & the labor was very reasonable compared to other shops in the area. The mechanic was great . . . prompt service & the work was done within an hour or so. I highly recommend this shop. Honest & friendly. The price was very fair and I will use this shop for all my oil changes & repairs. Thank you!

Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
