Kindred Hospital Central Tampa
The only reason that I gave Kindred Hospital Central Tampa a 4 star rating is because of the look of the building. It could use some work on the inside and outside of it. Other than the look I have had a great stay. Something I loved was that EVERYONE introduced themselves upon entering the room! I knew who was working with me as soon as they walked in the door.Nursing staff was very helpful. The CNAs were like little angels with all the work they did. Respiratory therapy was so efficient with the care that they provided. I would like to give special recognition to Yalitza from housekeeping. Any time I needed something she went out of her way to provide me with it. I am so grateful for people like her. I would also like to say that Ryan and Rebeca from rehab make a great team. They are so gentle with the work they do. Ryan always remained professional (no matter how much I try to break his character). I enjoyed getting to know everyone here and thank you everyone for your efficiency!

Home Helpers
My 88 year old mother lives with my wife and I in our home. We can't afford to send her to an Assisted Living Facility, so she has her own room at our house. I wanted to get away for a weekend with my kids, but I never was trusting enough to let just anyone stay with her while we were gone. My Doctor said he knew the owner of Home Helpers, so I gave them a try. How did I never know about these guys before!!! They sent a caregiver over on Friday evening, and Saturday and Sunday during the daytime to stay with my mom and take care of her. They sent me daily emails about how things were going, and when I returned on Sunday, the whole house was clean, laundry was done, and my mom didn't want the caregiver to leave. I can say that I was so happy with the service. I definatly plan on taking more trips with my kids and wife and will have no problem having Home Helpers come to fill in. I'd recommed them to anyone. Great job!

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa
I came to Kindred Hospital Central Tampa for continuing care after devastating medical complications. The nursing staff was so kind and amazing. Rose was my favorite Nurse. She made sure on the days she worked that I was well taken care of. She is a thoughtful person who really cares. Michelle from R.T. was wonderful. Her, and the other Respiratory staff truly have a calling for what they do. The rehabilitation staff was beautiful. Ruth with Occupational Therapy and Tanvi with Physical Therapy help me through my recovery with great intentions. I would not be where I am without them. Julie, with lift team, is my angel. She does her job well and she puts her heart into it. I would recommend this hospital to any of my friends and family. The staff is great; I hope they don’t lose a single person. Each and every single one of them has their own qualities that make them special to their patients. I love ALL of them!

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa
5 out of 5 stars!I would like to give recognition to the entire staff at Kindred Hospital Central Tampa. Over the last few months I have had a lot of medical issues. After being brought back to life twice, at another area hospital, I was transferred here to continue my care. From the CNAs to the Nurses, the entire nursing staff was great. The respiratory staff helped me greatly get through my stay and time of need. The rehab team is excellent! Tanvi and Eugene got me on my feet, all while Eugene giving me the medicine of laughter! Julie and Rebeca with rehab are so caring. They motivated me even when I didn't want to do a thing! I have to say that Dr. Atigre really cares about his patients and he was exceptional! Thanks you all for the care you gave me!

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa
5 star facility! I am writing this story on my road of success here at Kindred Hospital Central Tampa. I was admitted here on 3-15-2016 for further treatment with having COPD. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the staff here at Kindred for their kindness, support, and educational services they provided for me. Thank you Dr. Sailesk Shah, Pulmonologist, for your quality care and sending me here until I could move on to the next level. I received the best of quality care possible. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. I would like to see more of these facilities throughout the United States. Once again, thank you to many of you here at Kindred. Sincerely, Mable Sidner

Lakeshore Villas Health Care Center
I agree lakeshore is not a good place to place you loved ones. They are not the cleanest place around either and some of their staff are not so kind to your loved ones either. The activity department I have to say is awsome thou.

Tips & Advices
Many hospitals have their own websites that include information about services offered and how to contact personnel. But you can also search online, in the phone book, and through health and medical-focused review websites.
Medical service prices vary according to the hospital, the type of procedure, and many regulations. The price that a patient actually pays will depend on their insurance coverage policies. If they do not have health insurance, patients may establish payment plans with the health care provider directly.
Most Americans older than 65 are insured under the Medicare program for emergency hospital visits and basic medical care. Whether you are about to turn 65 or already have, you should familiarize yourself with the Medicare program and the benefits it provides. Medicare can work in conjunction with a workplace or other private health plan. Seniors should also take the time to establish legal documents concerning future medical care and end-of-life procedures. These include a living will, advance medical directive, and related documents.
Visitation rules vary by hospital, but in general, any biological or legal family member of a patient is allowed to visit them at an appropriate time and at the patient’s discretion. Friends are typically  allowed to visit at the patient’s and their caregiver’s discretion. A patient may also designate a support person to make decisions on their behalf regarding visitation.
Ambulances are driven and staffed by medical professionals who will transport patients to the closest hospital that can provide the specific services needed. Some hospitals specialize in certain types of emergency care - facilities that specialize in trauma, heart attacks, stroke victims, and children are a few common examples. The patient being transported has the right to request a particular hospital, but the ambulance personnel may refuse this request if they have reason to believe treatment is required as soon as possible. Paramedics may require you to sign a waiver before transporting you to a hospital that you request.
