I just want to express how happy I was when Auto Glass America turned what I thought would be a bad experience into a very pleasant experience. I got my windshield replaced by Auto Glass America and they did a great job and I received a $25.00 rebate check and a $100.00 discount card to local area restaurants at the time of completion. When we went to use the discount cards they did not work and I was very frustrated. After talking to Dustin he explain to us how the cards worked, Dustin offered me us another 25.00 check for our frustration.

I am a previous customer of Auto Glass America so when my windshield wipers caused a scratch on my windshield right in my line of view I called them again to help me process an insurance claim and get a new windshield. Dustin coordinated everything for me, had the company buy back my damaged windshield and gave me a $100 Restaurant.Com Discount Card. I have had two great experiences with Auto Glass America.

I spoke with Travis and he was very informal on all my questions that I had. So when they came out this morning, the guy i think his name was rick called about 1 hour before to inform me that he is on his way. When the guy got here he was very professional. He completed my windshield in about 40min. Thanks Auto glass america, ill have my sister call you i think she has a broken windshield also

I called Auto Glass America regarding my damaged windshield just to get basic information on how the process works. Travis was my Customer Service Rep. He explained everything to me in short order and it seemed like in no time at all I had my insurance claim processed and was scheduled for installation. I'm anxious to get my new windshield.

Called Auto Glass America the day before the holiday weekend and to my surprise they were able to come out the same day and get my windshield replaced for me. Terry, the installer did a great job and my car is as good as new. I will recommend them to any of my friends in need of a windshield or other auto glass

Jessica was super helpful in coordinating the windshield replacement on my R.V. After being turned away by many other glass shops I was worried that I wouldn’t find anyone willing to help me. They did an amazing job and now I can leave for my vacation.
Tips & Advices
If you have comprehensive coverage, some - if not all - of the windshield repair and replacement costs are covered by the insurance company. Check with your insurance company to inquire about what they are able to pay. It’s also important to consider the deductible. If the cost of the replacement/repair is greater than the current deductible, the insurance company can cover the difference. But if the repair costs are less than the deductible, you will have to pay the full cost out of pocket.
Generally, most professionals can install a new windshield in around one hour and can make repairs in less than 30 minutes.
Wait 24 hours before entering a car wash with a new or repaired windshield. The high water pressures and cleaning chemicals could damage the windshield adhesive.
Most professional installers advise waiting an hour before driving again with a new or repaired windshield.
The cost of replacing a windshield can vary even more than getting it repaired, because the vehicle’s make and model, not the severity of the crack/chip, determine costs. Newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
